The long awaited movie 2012!

I don't know about you but I've been excited about this movie for months!!

The special effects seem awesome!

Anyone else as excited as i am?

I agree with Villian91. I'm looking forward to it for all the wrong reasons too. I guess the only thing we have to thank those who think the world will end in 2012 is that they get some sort of epic destruction movie to come out, what would have been completely ironic, is if they released it on December 20th (the day before the supposid "end of the world"), knowing how crazy the theaters would be, I would rent it when it comes out on DVD a few months after the release in theaters.

I'll be interested in the death, destruction, total mayhem, right up my alley. Can't wait

I am interested in their view of 2012 destruction, but honestly it just seems very unrealistic view of things in the trailers. Someone needs a more realistic view of this 2012 end of the world stuff to make a better film.

It is all B.S. I wonder how this movie will do on T.V. in the year 2013?

Precisely my point. Prophesies are lies. I shall probably long enjoy this movie in 2013, after I get it on DVD.

Oh no... I didn't realize this would raise a debate. I meant the fictional side of things not the Mayan and Hopi tribe prophecy's.

It is unrealistic, i agree but it looks AWESOME! I cant find the right word's to describe why i like it. I think it is the story line but also the nifty special effects. i was so impressed by the first preview.

This is a fictional view of the whole thing but it has actually history and lore behind it.
The cool thing about the Mayan's is they talked about the black hole in the center of the universe way before we knew what a black holes was. And they knew a lot of other things related to astronomy besides that.

The whole 2012 thing is synonymous with the doomsday prophecies. However, they should have just named the film 2010 just for laughs.

LOL as if people aren't panicked enough with the economy.

Movie has nice effects. I think it will do well in box office. I just think watching the ground break apart like that in the trailer is absurd. There isn't a physical force in the world right now that can do that in any possible way. Even if every super volcano on the planet erupted. I doubt it would do such a thing. Water moving around is very likely though and possible as magnetic poles shift. In such events.

Mayan prophecy is most likely to occur if anything. Even so many people take words out of context. Even Mayans have it stated that another peaceful Atun will begin after one ending in 2012. Words of the Mayans could simply mean an end to the old way of thinking. Much like many things in the Bible are exaggerated a bit.

I do like Post-Apoc movies alot better though. There is a new one of them or well two of them coming up. Book of Eli and The Road I believe. Both of them look awesome. I didn't mean to spark anything. Its fun to debate to me though. I enjoy it.
