Yes , it's good medicine.
Funny things those cognitive biases are.
My natural bias/inclination has been to compartmentalize my feelings from the rational processes and hence 'stand my self off' as a bifurcated observer. When the speaker presented those points I had reached most of those conclusions my self -( it was a deja vu feeling).

But I have fallen into the trap of (over) generalising something and extracting something out nothing without realizing that the judgement can only be "synthetically true" - we all have them to varying degrees.
