Nope, not Jindal but good ol' Buddy Roemer. Former blue dog Democrat turned Republican.

An interesting article:

Some reading on the candidate himself.

I doubt I'd agree with him on most everything but I think I'd probably want him over a lot of the other Republican candidates.

Actually the best option looks like Newt Gingrich right now because he has actually balanced the Federal Budget before.

By best option, I think you mean "most name recognition".

Just like how people voted for Bush in 2000 with HW in mind.

Bush did a fairly good job considering the hand he was dealt.

That said, Newt Gingrich is the same Newt Gingrich that balanced the Federal Budget.

Will his wife be called the third lady?

The nomination is about getting the country back to fiscal sanity, not nominating him for sainthood.

His philandering is indicative of a personal problem that we do not want in the White House. If he can't even manage his personal life and sleeps around on his wives, what is he gonna do for his own benefit above the public? I'd guess about the same as every other corrupt politician where they give sweetheart deals and get cushy jobs after.

Last I heard, he's stopped philandering years ago. Also unlike Bill Clinton, he did not lie under oath before a Federal Grand Jury.

Right now we need someone that can balance a budget, and Newt Gingrich has that experience.

Newt Gingrich again? He is not a conservative. Not in any sense. lol Why don't you just vote for Obama Inuyasha? Maybe start a Draft Hilldog 2012 movement.

Can't see Roemer gaining any support btw. I don't think anyone knows who he is besides the guy who finished 3rd to David Duke and Edwin Edwards.

That was after Marine Shale dumped a half mil (in 1991, no less) into a campaign against Roemer because Roemer stood up to them as polluters in the state.
