Ok, joke title, but not joke issue:

http://gretachristina.typepad.com/greta ... etter.html

Apparently(and probably as no surprise), atheists have better sex lives. They feel more satisfied by the sex they have. Feel less guilt about sex. Give better sex ed. Basically, atheists are more comfortable with sex. So, common sense is vindicated by study, and another sin of religion is exposed in a clearer manner. In any case, what's sexier than a person comfortable with their sexuality?

Could use a little more smoothing on that Photoshop job.

Almost right though. :thumright:

What's that old saying? Cause is not correlation, or the other way around.

Atheists happen to exist in more liberal cultures. I can conceive of an atheist society that had repressive attitudes toward sex.

PS. That picture is brilliant.

Would it be the AAA, the UAA, or the UAL, culturally-speaking?

And I can conceive of magical prancing unicorns that ejaculate ice cream, but that doesn't mean anything either.

I think you missed the point.

Possibly, I'm quite sleepy.

They're from an episode (or maybe it was a 2 or 3 part episode) of South Park, that are the Allied Atheist Alliance, United Atheist Alliance, and the Unified Atheist League.

Yeah on the sex ed bit. Atheist moms have no compunction with telling their daughters unequivocally, "use a condom, or I will kill you." If your mother is a Christian, there is much beating around the bush and wayyyyy too much crappy and confusing metaphor.

She is one of the least linguistically challenged people I have ever known.

In word pickiness she could have given my lawyer grandpapa a run for his money. I need to talk defensively around here.

It is the same old story, find a random correlation between two different things and then attempt to explain why one causes the other.

Could it be that having a better sex life is actually what causes atheism? You get so sexed that don't need to believe in god.

Well... the problem is that explaining why those who LEAVE the faith begin to have better sex lives isn't explained by the "sex causes unbelief" idea very well. Hopefully they used proper controls. As well though, things like "sexual guilt" seems to be straight-forwardly caused by religion, and leaving religion would very straight-forwardly cause a loss of the guilt.

In any case, clear causative chains go one way and not the other, and a cause has to exist.

This is probably not the place to compare my love life before and after coming to belief. It would not help your point - but then I rarely do help your points. Move along, nothing more to see here.

Here's proof the converse is true -
