Please read the whole thing. I am not bashing relgion by one mans actions.

a few weeks ago my grandmother passed away(she was old and it was her time) the pastor/minister/ head guy(not sure what to call him) was not happy with how I acted(would not take the corss he gave me or splash holy water or cry) at the funeral so he tracked me down telling me I was "hold your pain in. and by not taking parts in her last rites I was asking for both of us to be sent to hell" I tried to tell him I am sorry but I sis not feel right taking part in religious rites I do not beleive in. He went on to tell me with out my help she would surly be in hell. He then pushed his way into my hotel room( Funeral was out of state) and saw my open harry potter book(ill skip the harrry potter=black magic rant here because I was luaghing to much) and he was getting mad. He started tossing holy water all over my room and I had to gently take im by the arm and kick him out. He came to me again to day (fly into my state) and said he was sorry and started using bible verses(not sure what # they were) about my mistakes again! he even froced a cross into my hand. at this point I was near a melt down and did the only thing that came to mind. I droped it screaming it burned me.(scared him) and forced him out. I get he is trying to save my soul or work my demons out but the guy just scares me. how to I get him to leave "this lost lamb" alone?

No matter what I say or tell him. he has some bible verse or god has the answer.

I would ask if Jesus was the Messiah and Savior of the World, but your still going to Hell, then did Jesus fail?

Here's how knowing the Bible can help you in this situation:

The Bible is a very thick book. If you know your Bible well(particularly the center of gravity), then you might be able to figure out exactly how to bludgeon this person's head in so that they will no longer have the capacity to annoy you.

He says he really wants to save me and my come backs seem to just make him work harder...I even asked him if being boiling still happens in hell because I needed a hot bath... Told me if I loved a hot bath the water would be so cold I would turn to ice. I told him I am hot blooded and being frozen sounds better then harp music.

I told him I belived in the greek underworld(kinda do, seems more logical) and seeing as the bible talks about the god of the underworld (hades) it must be real.

The guy is an ass and a swine and an ignoramus and yes [I am sick of the jerk knee response to this, but tough] NOT a reasonable facsimile of a Christian.

A. It is perfectly right and proper not to join in what you do not believe - that was me long years. Some do not mind it, but if that is what your conscience says -

B. Nobody goes to hell in any near-Christian theology because someone else will not pray.

C. Idiots abound.

What denomination is he? Sometimes they have their particular codes which you can use against them.

The Bible has so much stuff in it, and he knows it too well for you to use it as a book. If he forces his way into your home, you could maybe just shoot him. You could in Texas, anyway. If you just bludgeon him, he might sue.

That could be construed as violating some local ordinance. I would prefer to feed him select passages

Maybe you can tell him you've already blasphemed against the Holy Spirit and he can give up trying to save you. That's supposed to be unforgiveable. I have no idea how you do it, so let's hope he doesn't ask for clarification...

Look into getting a court order to keep him a minimum of three blocks away.

Assuming all this to be true - which would be hard to believe if I had not met at least one pastoral type almost sat this level - he almost has to be "non-denominational" which means he is priest and bishop and pope, and he is not going to pay attention to something just because it is scriptural.

Why would I lie about this? I am looking into a curt order to keep him away.

OP:
You have no control over her decisions that would lead to her going to heaven or hell. That was up to her, and that was all said and done when she died- not during the funeral. If you don't believe, then it's actually scriptural for you to pass on communion an not act as if that's your religion. It's not a sin to not be outwardly emotional, but it would be best if you talked to someone about her death. The priest was out of line though. Just because he's a priest doesn't automatically make him the best person to talk to. Simply reading Harry Potter will not send you to hell but the Bible say otherwise about unrepentant people who experiment with it.

I'm sorry that was your exposure to Christianity. He sounded more like an inquisitor than a chaplain. He may try to kidnap you and hang you in a pressure position from the church basement ceiling until you convert. Being a present-day priest, that's probably a fetish of his too! So if you see him coming your way dressed in leather, either run or shoot him! And use either 00 buckshot or Hornaday critical defense bullets because leather tends to prevent traditional hollowpoints from expanding!

Not in the least saying you lie - "Assuming all this to be true". Saying that this level of jerkheit goes well above the norm.

I have known personally two cases of "Christian" clergy who were - let us say - pretty seriously jerky. Neither quite this bad, Maybe if you put them together.

Good luck with the court order.
