A while ago I was browsing a socialist website - I forget what it was called so I don't have a link - and this site reccomended that I watch the pro-animal rights documentary "Earthlings" directed by Shaun Monson. I have watched the first five minutes of "earthlings" on YouTube and I felt like my eyes were bleeding from all the stupid at that point so I had to turn it off. Socialism is for the poor right? As far as I know most poor people don't care about animal rights.

Every animal rights activist, PC freak, anti-tobacco lobbyist and militant atheist needs to leave socialism.

could you be more specific? I haven't seen that movie, but give us some examples of what you found problematic.

Also, are you basically saying that everyone you disagree with needs to leave socialism so that you can continue to have a 'pure' ideology to worship?

Seriously, you don't really know what half of those words you just typed mean, do you?

I don't have a pot to piss in, and I'm anti-tobacco, and I even care about needless suffering of animals. And yet, I'm pretty far left, and so some might take me for a socialist.

The definition of Socialism:
Quote:
A political and economic theory of that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

How do any of those things contradict the aforesaid definition?

Every rational person needs to leave socialism. Not that everyone who is socialist is stupid, but smart people can have stupid beliefs too since intelligence isn't a two dimensional black and white thing.

I've seen plenty of right wing conservatives who have a black and white view of the world.

They don't, and they shouldn't, the wealthy and some middle class people are more likely to care about such activisms as they are fine economically, the poor would care more about what is more practical and benefitial to them.
