As someone who has been very skeptical about UFOs since the original report in the American North West and the items about Foo fighters during WWII and who has been put off by the multitudes of hoaxes in the area there are occasional reports that seem to have some validity.
This, from Slashdot seems interesting.

Is this talk gonna be on C-Span?

Id like to tape it.

Like you I think of UFO's as a joke, but once in a while you hear about something credible.

Are the aliens evil and trying to disable our defenses against them( in preparation for them invading us?

Or are they benelovent, and trying to keep our primitive species from wiping itsself out with its own nukes?

.

Why would they want to invade us?

This is relatively common for robotics projects in universities as well as hobbyists:

If you accept that military tech might be more advanced, ufos might be dismissible as spying or sabotage equipement, though I suppose that's just providing more questions than answers.

I would be interested to read these reports, especially if they have any evidence/credibility.

Too much cholesterol. Slim active gun loving people can be delicious with a proper onion sauce and a dose of garlic.

Is that like the case of plutonium that goes missing? It's always the man in the spaceship who did it. Sounds more like a case of borrow from Paul to give to Peter to me. When you find something that's really believable, let us know. I'm dying to hear there are beings out there more intelligent than the knuckleheads we have down here.

The beliefnet link seems to deal solely with religious matters and so, aside from indicating mass gullibility, is irrelevant.
The second link blasts a lot of hoaxes and I have no doubt there are multitudes of those.

If all the reports were of individuals who were untrained observers I would have no problem in dismissing the whole business. There is a residue of reports of trained observers, scientists and pilots and technically educated people which maintain my uncertainty.

A more logical explanation would be China as opposed to aliens. But aliens would be much cooler...so I'll take the stance that aliens hate nukes.

You mean its like the 'space alien ate my homework!' to explain missing nukes?
Interesting theory.

It's more plausible than aliens from outer space.
