Campaigning alongside my foes?

When I was diagnosed with Aspergers in 2006 it was the beginning of the end to an almost 3 decade long struggle. Now it seems that I must ally myself with those who would show me no kindness or friendship in the past and fight alongside them against the 1%. Such an interesting situation. I am of course referring to the political situation in the United States.


Everyday I ger stronger and every week I learn about the foilables of human nature. I ask myself, why should I spend my time fighting for the liberty of those who have let themselves sink into this point. Those who in my mind are much too greedy and self centered at this point to come together as a united people and reclaim their right to a decent middle class life.......because I am stuck in the same boat with these a**holes and I don't want to sink with them. So out of necessity I must make a friend out of an enemy.

Once you learn how to react and socialize with the neurotypic they CAN have their pleasant points but they also have their negative points.

That's a pretty dramatic way to say "I learned that sometimes I have to work with people I don't like."

I don't know an income bracket where there is less greed, I know most liberals will disagree with this as they think it is a constructed evil (as all evils are constructed and systemic), but I think it is a human flaw so maybe just as much as you fight the 1%, you must also grapple with yourself and the inherent greed within.

The enemy is not the upper class
The enemy is not the underclass
The enemy is the political class

You owe the "99%" nothing.
They are a fragile alliance with many rifts and they will eventually betray you again.
Support the alliances that benefit you long- term.

For example, I am far from rich and have physical disabilities and other mental health issues besides AS. It would be logical to a lot of people to think that it would be best for me to be a democrat and support OWS. Well, my social views are nearly polar opposite of the democrats and I don't have a good future ahead of me by staking my future on being employed by others. For me, my best chance is to align with the more independent-thinking types. Our economic views vary slightly, but that won't matter so much if we are free to make our own living as we see fit without choking on red tape.

Playing socialist revolutionary fighting a class struggle is a popular bandwaggon right now, yet most of them are not old enough to remember, nor have done the historical research to understand all the ramifications of what they are asking for. If you do not like them, you will hate the society they stand for.

Rather than tell you what groups I think you should join, first, what do you want out of life? A career, education, family, living arrangements, etc.?
