Because sometimes people don't believe in what is real, they believe in what they feel.

Yep. And you're head and shoulders better because there's definitely no wag-the-dog political shenanigans going on in your country.

He is not exactly known for having enough honesty or transparency to figure out what to believe.

Please don't tell me that you honestly think any of those bigoted conspiracy theories have any merit.

All that can be safely said about his ties to islam is that he's very friendly with some very dangerous people; the one thing that would shut the birthers up is to submit his birth certificate to private independent experts and he won't; and there's a difference between being a socialist/communist and having the support to implement his policies properly.

The idea that there are certain people "running the show" is also a conspiracy theory.

How would a government or economic system not exist if no one is running it? Also it seems pretty obvious to me that the government its more or less profit driven so its more those who have the most of the wealth who more or less run the show by influencing the government to more or less side with them in various ways. Then of course it has to be enforced and its best if people think the politicians make the decisions they do because its 'they think it's whats best for the citizens of the country'.

But ok I guess that is more ridiculous than the idea that the government and economic system runs its-self.

Friendly to some very dangerous people? And who might that be? He killed our current greatest enemy, Osama Bin Laden, and sided with Libyan rebels who fought Gaddafi to the death - and both of them were Muslims.
As far as his birth certificate is concerned, why the hell should he - or anyone - have to submit a legitimate document to scrutiny in order to assuage the lunatic fringe? And I seriously doubt that the birthers would be satisfied even if the certificate were to undergo such rigorous examination, as that's not the real reason why they're raising such a stink in the first place.
And as far as his "socialistic/communistic" policies are concerned, it must be remembered that Obama's healthcare reforms are in fact derived from a Republican plan.
I'm afraid those none of those points you brought up are holding up to scrutiny.

1. Back in 1961 people of colour were called 'Negroes.' So how can the recently produced Obama 'birth certificate state he is 'African-American' when the term wasn't even used at that time?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as 4 August 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and was born in " Kenya , East Africa ". This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. So, how could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Until Kenya was formed on 12 Dec 1963, it was known as the " British East Africa Protectorate"

3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani
Maternity & Gynecological Hospital". This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. So, how can the new 1978 name of the merged hospitals be on a birth certificate that is dated 1961? Unless, of course, the certificate was only recently made by some poor researcher as a cover up.

Enough with the birth certificate. He was born of an American mother and raised in the U.S.. That settles the matter.

Truthiness

It's called "Rationalism", which should not be confused with rationality.

Alright Delphiki, since the mods are being nasty I'm going to spell it out for your in the nicest possible way:

NOBODY CARES ABOUT OBAMA'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE EXCEPT RIGHT-WING LOSERS WHO ARE DESPERATE TO FIND GROUNDS FOR IMPEACHMENT. THEY CAN'T GET OVER THEIR BUTTHURT THAT HE GOT ELECTED NOR FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET A LIFE, SO THEY WASTE THEIR TIME WITH THIS KIND OF MENTAL MASTURBATION.

Do you know what truthiness means? And are you back, or did you just come back to post something correcting the word that I think is more valid in reply to what was said?
