"In this seated posture, your legs are out. Your dog is in
front of you. You can also circle your legs around the
dog. Begin to massage your dog, and then add a light
stretch to the legs. This becomes organic. How deep of
a stretch you get is up to you. Because it is about you!
The more you want...you can lean forward over your
pet. You can open a little wider. Same with the dogs. I
know that Coali stretches deeper after 4 years of doga,
then when he first started. And a lot of that, is that I
know his body and my body better".

Yes, we need to teach yoga to dogs. Cats don't need to be taught yoga - they practice it instinctively.

Even if the canine could be taught the system of postures and breath-control by a human, I very much doubt they would understand the meaning of it. Many dogs serve and work alongside their human masters, but how to impress a dog with the health benefits of yoga?

Since dogs and people get along very well in most cases I think it's yet another good way for people and dogs to hang out and socialize. :D

Dogs are good at karma-yoga. Everyone can learn something from them.

Actually, yoga was invented by Neanderthals around 120,000 years ago and passed on to a few lucky cro-magnons.

I voted no, because since when does a dog have an attention span that would allow them the patience for yoga?
