Very cute. But, the fake American accents sound Canadian.

  We're not all like that, but I have a horrible feeling that video is dead on for many. Most of the travel savvy Americans abroad are all probably passing themselves off as Canadians because of the bad rap.

Some can't even understand other American dialects,I see captioning when people have a strong accent such as Cajun or Southern.
One of my favorite movies is In Bruges, I wanted to share it with a friend, mistake,I had to "translate"most of the movie for them.I thought it was hilarious when the fat American is warned not to try and climb the tower(but he does anyway).

Meh, for all people seem to hate Americans, we actually aren't the most obnoxious tourists, the most obnoxious tourists tend to come from France.

(Reuters Life!) - French tourists are the worst in the world, coming across as bad at foreign languages, tight-fisted and arrogant, according to a survey of 4,500 hotel owners across the world.

They finish in last place in the survey carried out for internet travel agency Expedia by polling company TNS Infratest, which said French holidaymakers don't speak local languages and are seen as impolite.

Ya that's a bad American accent, sounds closer Australian to me.

Foreign visitors in American are no better tho usually besides Canadians who are just nice people.

I do have to say that my limited experiences with the French in America has not been positive either. My cousin who worked in the restaurant industry and little more exposure than me hated the French above all else(I don't believe he had a particularly positive view on foreigners in general in relation to his job tbf)

So one study says that, so what? A single study can often be an anomoly when the trend tends to show something else, you've argued that before.

Though this also could be a sign of cultural collapse in the United States.

I got a friend the British crime movie Sexy Beast on DVD one Christmas, and he told me, he was just about ready to turn on the English language subtitles while watching it, because he could hardly understand what anyone was saying!
