The left's attacks on Israel are proof enough of antisemitism.

Many of them attack the Jewish people and culture more than Israel, but ignoring all that happens in Iran while still bitching about anything that happens in Israel, can't be motivated by anything but antisemitism. All those high and mighty left-wingers in Europe and the US, aren't living right next door to Hamas--and thus they do not have to make any of the difficult choices the Israeli government has had to make.

Israel is about 3/4 Jewish so I figure an attack on one is an attack on the other. I agree that the American and European left's criticism of how Israel handles conflicts with it's neighbors is bogus. Israel is located in a bad neighborhood and, if anything, their neighbors are less civil.

You don't have to be antisemistic to consider that both Israel and Palestine act stupidly and that their acts generally only further the conflict. Even more stupid is that it been proven from genetic testing that they are of the same people. (Something not very well know, propably because it's not a popular idea from one side or the other.) But that's not suprising that they act stupidly, they are humans after all.

/\ Yes, but the left tends to turn a blind eye to the stupidity of Israel's enemies and focus solely on whatever Israel does.

Israel proves that capitalism works. After all, many countries in the Middle East are adherants of Arab socialism, which is heavily based on the Soviet economy.

You get annoyed by all those "Keep Right" signs in the USA, but feel strangely comforted by the "Keep Left" signs in Australia.

In the UK, we "Keep Left" but "Give Way To The Right", which is disturbingly accurate.

Israel is in a unique situation, the state's origins, a unified national perspective overriding political differences and a population experiencing an almost constant state of war driving technological development, these are not seen in any other capitalist society that I know of. Another important consideration, a large part of the country's agricultural items and a portion of it's industrial sector is produced by collective communities.

Aren't you guys supposed to be wringing your hands about listener-supported radio and television? Not many people watch MSNBC, which is owned by a wealthy corporation.

I haven't heard the Conservatives whining about Obamacare in quite some time. Seriously, not even the Faux News crowd. That must mean that its rollout is going splendidly.

That is orthogonal to the question; is health care a right or a service to be purchased?

I only saw MSNBC long enough, about 15 minutes, to see that they are so slanted left they’d make Karl Marx blush.

It’s enough of a sham on its own that we don’t have to whine about it.

A dual system with both private and public clinics seem to be working best.

They are only obeying their corporate masters. You've watched about 15 minutes more than I have.

I see. But why were Conservatives whining about Obamacare previously? Was Obamacare not yet a sham at that point? What are Conservatives butthurt about lately?
