It is like believing your friend's father exists but not your friend.
You can't believe in God without believing in a religion.
The thing is you begin by believing in God, then learning religion.

Atheisim more open minded than Religion. I'll believe that when they believe in God, The Holy Spirit, an Jesus, and I stop believing this Big Bang thing was God speaking the world into existence.

Many atheists (not all, by the way) are more open-minded to the evidence than religious people. I don't think this needs much explanation. But if you need help understanding, let me know.

Honest to goodness, I need an explanation as to how atheists don't think religious people can believe in science. It is mindboggling how many atheists get this notion we don't believe in science, whilst using it as evidence against God's existence.

When the definition of creation in the bible is Universe, and therefore everything in it or about it, I'm not so sure evidence is the right word.

Think of it, if a man woman or child can believe in this evidence, he doesn't have to believe it proves his religion wrong, nor does he have to say science is wrong.

if, in the beginning, there was only adam & eve, then the entire human race is founded on inbreeding.

if noah took only 1 male and 1 female of every species of animal (apart from the fact that no wooden boat (or any modern ship) could contain them) aboard the ark, then all species of animals that managed to procreate are also fundamentally inbred.

i do not look to the bible or the koran or the bhagavad gita (sp?), or any other persons opinion to infuse and influence my method of speculating upon what i choose to consider.

I learn from hearing you speak. The public atheists offline are, as a rule, intellectually honest, polite and do not suffer from grandiosity. What I may say in conversations with the obnoxious atheists abundant on the internet lacking in all that (and more) is likely to have no connection with the respectable ones I'm happy to be acquaintance with.

Sure, there are obnoxious atheists - just as there are obnoxious theists - and yet obnoxiousness (or lack thereof) is unsubstantiated opinion without citing an example. By all means provide evidence of some obnoxious atheists, just remember that they aren't representative of every atheist. In turn, I'll choose not to lump you in with the Westboro lot, or with suicide bombers.

In their defence, even the most obnoxious and outspoken internet atheists are often still making their point in a logical manner. The message may be buried behind smug dismissals or self-congratulatory foolishness, but it's still there.

Regardless of the large incidence of stupidity on the internet (often stupidity of expression rather than the individual), an intellectually honest critical thinker is capable of having a polite discussion without resorting to the same level of stupidity. For example, you can choose to play either the man or the ball, just don't expect as much genuine regard for your views if you don't choose the latter.

The main reason I don't often post on these boards, or others for that matter, is that most 'discussions' tend to devolve into farcical name-calling or outright chaos where each side is making a great deal of noise, fervently believing in its own infallible logic or beliefs, oblivious to the fact that nobody is actually paying attention. That is, nobody is paying attention to the message - they're far more interested in dissecting the tiniest error or perceived falsehood.

So my suggestion: if you want to discuss the subject matter with the participants, do so in an honest manner. If you want to discuss the views and beliefs (or again lack thereof) of atheists, that's great. If you want to point the finger and label all atheists as obnoxious because of "some atheists somewhere that I've encountered sometimes", don't expect to be taken seriously.

So tell me, what have you learned by 'hearing' me speak?

IT IS completely illogical to suggest that all that IS important IS Logic..

As Modern Science understands emotion and illusion to be reality underlying ALL Logic..

So who IS the 'FoOl"..the logic or the emotion..

The answer is clear...

As the illusion..

IN your words...

That IS

HOW

we

learn from you...

That IS Those..

Who understand the limitations..

of the Illusion of the REality..

That IS..
and varying between every individual depending on neurological and perceptual differences in recognizing and perceiving this illusion we like to suggest..

IS reality...

AS none of US..at least as science currently understands...

ever sees..

The reality..

That IS..

The objective one..if you will...

OR EVEN COULD

Having a discussion about whether or not God exists between believers and non believers is about as constructive as a group of fleas riding on the back of a dog spending their time discussing whether or not DOG exists..while they may forget to partake of nourishing dog blood..if you will...

Of course that's just my opinion..and a little parable..or analogy..whatever you want to or may want to call it..as ALL IT IS is semantics anyway..

What exists..exists..that is all there is to IT..

Some perceive some of IT..some others perceive some of IT...

There is no evidence that any two people perceive IT as the same..

So ALL of IT is simply a rhetorical discussion on the value of Semantics..if you will...

Or if you CAN SEYES IT...

That IS ALL...

From a distant view...

No, I didn't. And no, he doesn't (otherwise he wouldn't be God, would he?) It's called a sense of humour, which is sorely lacking at times here.

God is God, even if he farts on baby seals, or flips you the bird. It is called being serious.

At this moment in time, I'm wondering whether God would exist if people didn't.

That wouldn't be God. God is perfect, therefore he could not do such things. Simple.

What you talk about is actually the projection of fear - an all-powerful entity that can inflict suffering on people. That's the concept of the devil. Or a 'substitute god' from another mythology.

What source informs you that 'God' is perfect? Is it the same source that proclaims that:

"The LORD is a jealous God, filled with vengeance and wrath. He takes revenge on all who oppose him and furiously destroys his enemies!"

Or are you telling us that the devil co-wrote the Old Testament?
