And how does one break a finger with a botox injection?

Sounds like a real mess.

I can't imagine that her case would have been in a better position if she had chosen to give birth to the child.

She appears to have had the misfortune of marrying a complete narcissist.

Possibly he was perfectly willing to let her take the kids until he found out what the child support payments were going to cost him. Then, he decided that hiring a team of aggressive divorce lawyers would cost him less.

The lawyers are paid to exploit every angle that they can.

In this case though, it could backfire, as the lawyers are offending Feminist sensitivities. A hoard of Feminists disrupting the trial with drums and bullhorns might persuade the judge to be on her side.

If Botox can cause a finger to break, let's hope that a side affect of Viagra is that his penis drops off.

I hope that common sense prevails.

Nobody should have to grow up it such a s**t storm.

If we reverse the tables, the very same thing happens a lot. I have no doubt that the woman would have been the better caretaker here (the man is a selfish a-hole), but there are plenty of cases where a drug addicted woman living on welfare checks get the children in favour of a man who actually has his life put together.

How exactly does an abortion make her the worse parent? I don't understand the reasoning here.

Just an example of an ugly custody battle in court regarding their kids. Spouses will use anything against their partners to get custody.

THIS is why I never court MEN anymore! All they care about is THEMSELVES, while we WOMEN work tirelessly to please them. Well, not me! I hope she gets away from that AWFUL misogynist.

This behavior happens in women too.

You should't tar a whole sex because of individuals behavior.

Then the only common denominator is you. Most women over 25 are happily married and have children.

I don't get the impression that this battle has much to do with misogyny except on the part of the judge; I think that, as previous posters have noted, the ex-husband's just using any angle that he can to tar the ex-wife. My problem has do do with whether or not this will set any kind of precedent.
Kurgan is also right that women sometimes viciously attack men in custody and divorce battles; when my parents got divorced, my brother and I were very lucky that both of our parents loved us more than they hated each other, and did their best to keep us out of the middle of it.

If I were a woman, then I surely wouldn't want to be married to this narcissistic creep. Even if he was rich. :eew:

On the other hand, based upon having read a fair amount of the wisdom contained in our Love and Dating Section, it seems that women are especially drawn to men who are "confident", and no-one exudes more confidence than a person with a narcissistic personality disorder.

Which may end up setting up bad scenarios for women who are unable to resist this attraction.

That's not true. Only one-in-eight 25 year olds are married in my country and you have no idea if those marriages are happy or not. Since half of marriages end in divorce, we can conclude that at least half of them perhaps aren't truly happy in the long term.

That said, not all men are selfish but that doesn't stop some people from being unfortunate enough to run into a string of selfish ones. This is because a hell of a lot of people are selfish these days, not just males. You actually have to get lucky to find a caring partner, whatever your sex or orientation.

What I learned from my parents' divorce: just because two people, who were once in love, decide that they can't live with each other, doesn't mean that either one of them is a 'bad' person. They just have incompatible wants and needs from a marriage partner, and different ideas of what makes a home.

In the present situation, at least in light of what I know about the situation, I'm willing to label Mr. Mahos a bad person.
