So we keep hearing about how undereducated U.S. students are (mainly compared to other countries and standardized tests). Whose fault is it? I confined this poll to elementary education.

I have to fault the parents.

Education is screwed up on so many levels, but the parents have the most power to fix it. Lack of involvement in their kid's education...shouting at teachers, shouting at administrators, shouting at school boards, shouting at legislators.

Letting people in power do all the policy making and decisions means they will do what THEY think is a good idea, and most of those people are imbeciles brought up on political agendas and not actual education.

None of the idiots ruining education in America could do what they've done if it wasn't for the complacency of the parents letting someone else oversee the quality of education given to their children.
