Toronto police say they have the video showing him using drugs. Not sure if that's really a big deal, but this guy is a study in chutzpah:

CBC news: Mayor admits to having used crack cocaine a year ago. But says it would have been the result of drunkeness.

Being drunk is a horrible excuse for anything, but is using coke really unethical? It is a victimless crime. The only thing he did wrong is getting caught.

I would say that to the Colombians. It's not the fault of the coke users that production is forced underground by the war on drugs and for that reason finances conflicts around the world. The same way you don't blame whiskey drinkers for Al Capone (hint: blame Prohibition era politicians).
And I don't use coke myself, I just think criminalizing these people is wrong.

So will he get reelected like whoever that mayor of DC was that got caught smoking crack?

So far getting caught smoking crack whilst being a mayor guarantees you get reelected. Right?

I mean I think we can all relate. We all get into "drunken stupors" from time to time and all, and sometimes crack is around whilst being in drunken stupors, and stuff happens. Heh.

It's believed by some friends of Smith that he may have had the purported video of Ford smoking a crack pipe stored on his cellphone.

n June, Nisar Hashimi pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter in the shooting death of Smith. The plea deal came more than two months after Hashimi turned himself in to police.

The plot thickens.
