"a mans gonna do what a mans gotta do when he's got a hungry mouth to feed"- Dylan sang that somewhere in some song, or some derivative of that line, but Japanese seem to have a particular affectation for whale blubber. Curious, Koreans eat whale blubber too. Are they just more stealthy hunters than tha Japanese or are the Japanese just brazen?

thinking Japanese are pretty tenacious

on the somewhat positive side, maybe this means "Whaling Wars" will be back. One of only "reality " shows, that is not cooking related, that I enjoy.

I'm not that fond of the idea of whaling, but I'll side with Japan on this over eco-terrorists every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Obviously. It doesn't surprise anyone with half a noggin'. Their research guise was exposed, in court, no less. And they still ***** and whine. Nobody but Sea Shepherd is doing anything about it. You can pass any number of laws, but if nobody is around to enforce them they'll do what they like. Karma should sink the self-righteous, lying, murdering *******s already. :ncool:

Sea Shepherds are pirates and I hope for the day when the whalers carry canon, rocks and missiles and blow them out of the water. Interference on the high seas can only be met with deadly force. Hang the pirates from the highest yardarm or blow them to smithereens.

I agree completely.

One thing that was really telling was when Watson pretended that he was shot by the whalers when the whole thing was nothing but a bogus publicity attempt.

I really get tired of the whining by the Sea Shepherds about the whalers doing things to them that they have been doing to the whalers all along. They obvious have double standards. Even worse is when you watch the videos and realize that in many cases the Sea Shepherds were clearly the instigators. There have been instances were the Sea Shepherds whined about how the whalers rammed their boat but if you look at the videos it is clear that it was the Sea Shepherds who rammed the whalers boat.

The Sea Shepherds are a menace on the high seas and need to be permanently shut down before they kill anyone.

I don't think so, as it clearly is an underwater shot [or one made to look underwater, who knows what photoshop mischief has been done?] of a whale just beneath the surface 'cept for its head] and a human diver shown for size reference. the picture is probably meant to evoke sympathy for our fellow earth creature.
