I think there is good and bad about religion, well everything really.

One good thing is that it can give someone something to have a strong faith in and thus something to live for.

However. One of the reasons I distance myself from religion is because I feel that it is very controlling. It has made me very uncomfortable ever since childhood.

I find other ways to have something to live for. And since I despise the control-factor I feel is heavy in religion, I just stay away from it all together.

I follow no human.

But I learn from all humans, past and present.

Jesus and Muhammad are two examples of millions I learn from.

The Spirit leads me, and lives within me.

Some folks call IT Creativity AND SOME FOLKS call it Holy Spirit.

IT is free for all who seek and find IT.

IT requires absolutely no particular linguistics of written word.

IT is just IT and ALL that IS aka GOD or Mother Nature True. :)

To worship or FOLLOW a three letter word

OR MORE OF WORDS OR BOOKS alone

OR name of Jesus or Muhammad IS ONE

AND SAME AS WORSHIPPING OR

FOLLOWING A HONDA OR A FERRARI.

BOTH PROVIDE BASIC TRANSPORTATION

AND ONE GOES FASTER THAN THE OTHER

BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS BOTH ARE JUST FRIGGING CARS. ;)

AND on TOP of that dancing 'naked' IS JUST mORE frigging FUN. :)

Beautiful interpretation of the true meaning of spirituality. Just beautiful.

^^^

Thanks!.. with the heart smilie thingy too. ;)

Five different KINDs of love are identified and noted by 'science'.

People tend to give what they like to receive in terms of language of love.

Some speak with A language of love that is gifts, others speak with words of affirmation,
touch, quality time, and the fifth is acts of service.

Some folks speak with one or none or all these languages of love.

I say there is a sixth type of love and it is unconditional excluding NONE OF CREATION AS IS.

WHEN ONE LIVES IN this sixth type of love receiving and giving becomes one and SAME.

And the spirit of creativity CAN go on and NEVER ENDING IN NOW.

And that for me as one is HEAVEN IN NOW with ALLONE NEVER ALONE AGAIN IN NOW. :)

So I say now simply HAPPY NOW. ;)

For my own personal vantage point, I am in total agreement with you. But I don't presume to shove it down the throats of my brother and sister Aspies on this forum.

Don't know who I would follow, but I know that Mohamed would be an easier candidate to sell in an American election campain. He was a successful businessman, and a warlord, and had a number of spouses and kids that you could put in front of a camera to show how he was a "family man". Christ was a homeless unemployed bachelor.

So did Odin. So now what, this is a dilemma, Jesus or Odin?

I'd put my money on Mohammed. Wasn't he some type of tribal warlord? and Jesus was largely a pacifist. Jesus can make wine and bread. Whereas Mohammed has some type of magic horse.

or were you thinking long term. Like Mohammed could never win because jesus would just keep resurrecting after he was killed.

There is much compelling evidence that the resurrection never happened and that the story of the crucifixion is full of holes. People will believe what they are conditioned to believe and not even examine evidence that conflicts with their conditioning. Old news.

Regardless, how can you not like a guy who stopped a woman from being stoned to death, and who once told everyone, "Blessed are the peacemakers ..."?

I do admire Jesus as a man. Just saying that his glorification is baseless.

The Resurrection has always been questioned, but I was not aware of serious, scholastic doubts that the Crucifixion was being questioned.

Books?

Authors?

Websites?

No trying to start a spat, just want sources I can check.
