So apparently there's this big deal being made about Desert Snow which is a program that trains cops to seize cash from suspected criminals, involved in the drug cartels, for instance. What's the problem with that, you ask? Well, the individual police departments are seizing citizen's money and not giving it back, even if they haven't done anything.
They see it as a way to get lots of money and if you aren't a criminal, they don't have to give it back even if you are cleared of all charges.
