Trump has no respect for anyone and is the biggest a-hole in the Republican field.

I don't even think he is. He's just the loudest and thus the one gets the most screen time. And who's not calling Jesus to his defence.

Trump is a clown, pure and simple. We're making ourselves into a clown nation by taking this guy seriously.

I don't like everything he says but in all fairness though I don't see a problem with his border policy. Most countries will kill you if you illegally migirate to their country yet we give free money and food stamps to criminals here.

The sad thing is that his supporters are taking things he says seriously. I'm hoping that he doesn't actually want to be President, but that he likes saying things that are offensive.

I just hope the Republicans get themselves a candidate who's a decent human being. As an independent voter, I like to judge candidates based on their skills as politicians, and I'd hate to have to use a criterion like "Anybody but Donald Trump".

That said, if Hillary Clinton gets the Democratic nomination, it wouldn't be so bad to have to pick anybody-but-Trump. She's experienced, she's been secretary of state so she knows her international politics; she may be a bit of a traditionalist, and I disagree with her on some issues; but what can you expect from her generation? I think she could do the job decently. Sanders is a bit too leftist to really be able to relate to the political right, but once again, he's not Donald Trump and I'd still vote for him despite the likely left-versus-right fracas to ensue if he's elected.

Only if the Republicans get a real candidate instead of a grandstanding clown will they have a chance at getting my vote. Independents are the swing votes, we're the ones they've got to convince, and we don't fall for mindless rhetoric.

And this particular independent is disabled, and won't vote for somebody who thinks it's appropriate to insult someone's disability if they annoy you. I've met enough bullies in my lifetime to recognize one when I see him, whether or not he's wearing a Tribble on his head.

What I don't understand is how such an infamously shrewd businessman...

His wealth was from...his father, through inheritance.
In 1974 he became the president of his father's real estate corporation.
In 1990 it was $5-8.8 Billion in debt. He was bailed out by his financing banks.
In 1991 the The Trump Taj Mahal declared bankruptcy.
In 1992 the Trump Plaza Hotel went under.
In 1995 he took his corporation public, boosting his coffers with investor's money.
In 2004 the parent company Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts went bankrupt after accruing $1.8 billion in debt.
In 2009, the restructured & renamed Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts then called, 'Trump Entertainment Resorts' again filed for bankruptcy.

So he originally gained his wealth via inheritance and has since been forced to file for Chapter 11 *four* times. While that may be considered, "shrewd" by some (especially since very little of it was actually his money), would anyone really want him running an entire nation like that?

On the upside he's not really making any bones about being a debt trader, save for lying about his inheritance.

I don't any of these people running my nation.
I want this man for Commander in cheif. Do you see any other candidates leading by example?

Looks like our strategy beats the alternatives.

Clowns scare me, Trump is a clown, therefore Trump scares me.

not quite sure he can match ol' adolf in the public speaking category.

the latter managed to captivate an entire nation and practically oozed charisma...but i can expect some backpaddling or damage control from trump in the near future (or not). clearly not many liked what he said. :P

My word, it is sinsboldly long time no see :)

What is this obsession with blowhards? I think part of the problem the overly long campaigns with little substance.

There needs to be more transparency. It would be sensible to cap campaign money, so you get more variety of canditates. There would less Blowhards, and also less people being puppet by Lobbies.

Even as a businessman this guy is mostly hype, which is what realty is about. He is not even self made.

What an absolute dumb f**k Trump is. Then again, the Republican party is comprised of idiots nine out of 10 times. It's rare to find one who is actually decent.
