We here in Australia are encroaching an economical problem in terms of the number of taxpayers Vs those on the pension or who are on welfare.
Aging population factors into this.
A huge proportion of accumulated taxpayer's money goes towards servicing both of these.
Even though the government is encouraging the immigration of workers, those capable of work with a socially parasitic attitude of entitlement are a burden that is increasingly difficult to sustain.
I shouldn't have to say this but: People who need welfare or are on the pension should be looked after.
Those who abuse the system, not so much.

Some aspies can find work.
(I was lucky, admittedly, but I was able to work full time for almost 30 years through sheer determination. It was not easy going, let me tell you. I'd rather kark myself rather than go through that again.
)And some can't due to the degree of their autism and/or the economic climate.

BTW:
I always had the desire to find work.
When I was young I was on social security for 6 months.
I was beaming when I told the social security worker that I found work.
As a result, he was beaming due to my enthusiasm.
Clearly, he wasn't used to seeing someone so happy finding a job. <chuckle>

I was lucky:
-I worked for around 30 years straight.
I felt privileged:
-Because I had that job for all that time.
It was extremely tough going for those 30 years.
I'm now in early retirement, still alive (I think), and hopefully have a few more years in me, cross hooves.
