Hi all. Has anyone on this site made a thread about this video?

Summary: We should change the calendar by moving year zero back 10,000 years. That would make it more culturally inclusive. What do you guys think?

I'll just repost my comment on the video:

"Sorry, but the idea for this is dumb, because the year 0 is ultimately arbitrary, and it's sole point is as a reference for dates. All these propositions are far worse than the current calendar system we have because they result in the dates we actually use having a far smaller ratio difference then the current one, making it harder to differentiate meaningful dates. Adding the extra one to the front is just redundant information which masks the meaningful information. This is even worse considering that we don't even have exact dates for the events which these are based on. If anything, we should move year 0 forward, as the 2000 is getting annoying, and we have more recorded history in the second millennium than the first one."
