Here's the main thing that makes Trump a candidate for the worst president in history: He lives in a historical epoch in which nukes and global warming exist.

Andrew Jackson was far more evil than Trump, but he lived in the days before nukes. This limited the damage he was capable of.

Trump took office on January 20th 2017, now 1 year later ....

he looks like a defeated child, like one that's been forced to get all gussied up for school picture day and knows there's no way to get out of it.

if he was in the bottom it would probably be more fitting.

also interesting how FDR is both top and rock bottom on that list, wonder what that's all about.

It's incredibly difficult to attribute the fluctuations of the stock market or any complex financial entity to a single variable such as the current sitting president.

Economists still argue over the role of the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act by Bill Clinton in the economic boom of the 1990s and sub prime rate loan and housing bubble collapse of the 21st century.

Some see the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act as a primary cause and some see Glass-Steagall Act as a mitigating factor.

Looking at the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the past 40 years, the trend is actually a nice exponential trend. This is typical, and it started becoming chopping at the end of the 1990s probably as a result of the "new economy". It currently has a steep upward slope which started January 22 of 2016. I can't find anything pertaining to Trump that happened on that day. He certainly wasn't in office.

"what you see is what you get". - That sums up President Trump's administration. I also find him and his staff very transparent and straight forward. Just watch one of his press secretaries press briefing. It's what makes a presidential administration effective.

Emoluments, tax returns

I get the strong impression that history will repeat itself, he will fire anybody he has to, including Mueller, to protect himself, and/or he will pardon people to the same end. the evangelicals in amuuurica have made a deal with the devil, and whatever moral authority they had, has evaporated in a foul dark cloud of hubris. I will not listen to a spurious word they say from here on out.

That's because American evangelicals tend to be flamingly anti-intellectual ... even though Christian intellectuals exist.

The American right-wing evangelicals blindly repeat the actions and behaviors of their fathers, assuming that their fathers were true Christians.

Do they even read the Bible? Of course not. They just assume that everything that their father told them about the Bible was true.

if jesus came back down to earth, i'd bet good money that those hypocrites would crucify him again the minute he opened his mouth.

Trump's immigration proposal:

- "path to citizenship" for DACA recipients via a "10-12 year path" that includes "requirements for work, education and good moral character."

- "path to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants known as "Dreamers" via a "10-12 year path" that includes "requirements for work, education and good moral character."

-$25 billion more for "wall" and "border security", it would appropriate funds to add new enforcement officers, immigration judges and prosecutors - efforts to more quickly deport people who are in the country without legal papers.

-end diversity visa "lottery" - end a program to immigrate people from under-represented countries

-end "family-based"/"chain immigration" - no longer can immigrants sponsor their families as immigrants

-close "legal loopholes" which will allow the border patrol to deport more undocumented immigrants, specifically as it relates to undocumented immigrants from countries that don't border the United States

What's weird .. is what about regular "undocumented immigrants" .. sounds like they get deported.

IMHO the DACA people are gonna end up getting the mean green weenie from the GOP.

That's highly likely, given that right-wingers have been trying to supress left-leaning liberation theology for quite some time now.
