The tax cuts were a ruse.

The target is "entitlements", which is a lying descriptor. It means:

"government-managed geriatric medical and retirement accounts designed for people of modest means, required by law, so that everyone has to put money in them, and we can't get our filthy paws on that money or find any way to gouge people with fees for managing it, which is an affront not to be borne. So we are now calling it a pejorative name and stoking resentment about it, so we can brainwash the people who depend on it, so they'll let us rob them blind."

Step one: blow up the deficit to give money to people who already have obscene amounts of it.

Step two: point to the deficit to excuse taking away everyone else's retirement and medical funding.

if those pathologically lyin' sociopaths had their way, in their heart of hearts [or what passes for wetware hearts] we'd [or just enough of us to do all their dirty work, the rest they'd allow to starve or worse] all be their slaves. what really gets my goat is when they called that scam they just passed a "middle class" tax cut. as if middle class meant millionaire when it never came close to meaning any such thing. it's really a net tax increase on anybody making less than about $75k/annum. but those lyin' sacks of cat vomit would never admit that truth to any "outsiders." typical dissocial gangsters they are. they are the kind of betrayers who said [sen. bob packwood, 1994] "now that we've killed health care reform, we must insure that our fingerprints are not on the corpse."

You've noticed that the articles about how "good" this plan is for "the middle class" give examples where people are earning six figures minimum, own their own businesses, have second homes, etc.
