For all practical purposes the special election was a tie and will be null and void after this fall because the district is being rearriaged. However this is a district that Trump won by 20 points in a state that tipped the 2016 election. When you combine that with last years Dem wins in state and local elections and a Democratic double digit lead in generic congressional ballot polls it strongly portends and anti Trump Democrat “tsunami”, a smashing success for the “resisitence”, or does it? Mr. Conor did not run a resistance lefty campaign. He ran a pro union, pro tariff, anti Pelosi, pro gun rights campaign.
