The kid's response is wrong about the math.

As far as we know, all the cosmological events/constants existed at once, so they are not independent events.

The "gambler's fallacy" is about independent events.

The appropriate math is Bayes' theorem (conditional probability).

I love it when they say the Earth is the perfect distance from the sun. There are other planets in the solar system. If all the plants had formed 40 million kilometres further from the sun then Venus would be in the habitable zone instead of Earth and creationists on Venus would be saying they're the perfect distance from the sun.
