Those have not changed one iota.
In the Trump era we have added Nazi, sheep, cult follower, snowflake, seditious confederate supporter or seditious Putin supporter whose opinions are hate speech and who should have no free speech rights. Seditious is quite the difference from “too patriotic” pre Trump.
He and the see no evil hear no evil congressional supporters, talk/cable news hosts are causing or speeding up greatly the “conservative” movement to a dispised smaller and smaller minority. For the next 10, 20 years any argument for non progressive or regressive left positions will easily be dismissed by the majority of population with some version of “but Trump”. That is bad, a country needs a diversity of ideas.
