If you made a story like this up, no one would believe it.

Gov. Ralph Northam ‘deeply sorry’ for blackface, KKK robe yearbook photo

RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia Governor Ralph Northam issued a statement Friday evening following the publication of his senior medical school yearbook page that featured a photograph of a man wearing blackface and another wearing a Ku Klux Klan robe....

The photo, which appears on Northam's page in an Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook from 1984, also features the accompanying quote: “There are more old drunks than old doctors in this world so I think I’ll have another beer.”

It is unclear which costume Northam is wearing.

I.e., it's unclear whether he's the one in blackface or the one in the Ku Klux Klan robe and hood.

And note that this didn't happen when he was an 18-year-old freshman. It happened when he was an adult medical student.

Harris calls on Northam to resign
 over KKK, blackface yearbook photo

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) called on Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) to resign on Friday after he acknowledged appearing in a picture showing a man wearing blackface and another dressed in a Ku Klux Klan robe.

Harris, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, urged Northam to step down "so the public can heal and move forward together."

If this topic was titled, "Trump's racism" it would be 4 pages already.

He needs to resign. Maybe he has a place in the Republican Party though.

Because you defend his racism. No one here is willing to defend a Democrat's racism, because we aren't hypocrites.

I think the Democrats are far more dangerous than the Republicans. With the Pubs, at least there's truth in advertising. They openly support neoliberalism. But the Dems are wolves in sheep's clothing. There is no difference between the two parties, any more. Eight years of Obama should have woken up liberals to that reality. He was actually worse than Bush.

You mean you've been scared of made up stories, while we can point to your words and deeds.

Nah, I leave the consumption of "made up stories" to those of your ilk, who walk lock-step with the left and corporate media. I prefer to think for myself. I can back up every damn I said if you'd like to have that conversation.

Fox News is a corporation.
Which party supports racists, and which party fires them?
Which party supports sexual harassment and which defends harassers?
Which party supports international treaties and cooperation, and which doesn't?
Which party believes in consensus views on science and which supports polluters?
Which party wants people to vote, and which believes in voter suppression?

LOL.

"Since yesterday, my advisors have assured me that all people in blackface look alike, so there's no way anyone could prove it was me. And besides, my face was under that hood so you can't see it. And I was drunk so I wasn't responsible. And I was just a student doctor, not a real doctor."
