Kamala Harris quits.
Kamala Harris quit her campaign to run for president.
Some are saying in the media that the decline of Harris' popularity started with her "takedown" by Tulsi Gabbard in debate #2.
Others are saying in the media it's because Harris hired her sister to run her campaign an when the campaign was being run poorly, Harris wouldn't make the tough decision to fire her sister.
Harris is saying she quit because she wasn't a billionaire like Bloomberg and was therefore at a disadvantage that couldn't be overcome.
I asked someone today, a woman, why she thought Harris failed. The woman said that she thought Harris seemed like the kind of person that would "stab her own mother in the back to get ahead." and that Harris seemed "phony".
I agree with reasons 1,2 & 4 above.
She was polling around 2-3%. I like how she tried to blame it on racism and misogyny. “America may not be ready for a woman of color to be President”
This was after failing to make any traction in a DEMOCRATIC presidential primary. So she’s calling Democrats racist and misogynistic. Same party that nominated Obama and Hillary, suddenly don’t like blacks and women.
And that’s why no one likes her. Race card overplayed. That’s all she has, a one trick pony - race, race, race, gender. Discrimination!
She was also the most tyrannical candidate in the race. She promised to impose gun control unilaterally and had zero respect for free speech, trying to get the President banned from Twitter - and that was just the tip of the iceberg of her tyrannical views
Get over it and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

When I saw she did with Biden in that first debate I thought she would be a great candidate to stand up to Trump's bullying in the general. Her "prosecuting" Trump in the debates seemed an enticing prospect. Then she completely did a 180 turnaround and backed off. My theories are she was petrified of the woke wing of the party or afraid the voters would not like an aggressive black woman or both.
The process is designed to not nominate a flash in the pan and expose flaws and it did that with her. If she could not control her campaign she was not going to able to control the executive branch?

I think that's a very good assessment.
She was always touted as being a very good prosecutor. Her first national exposure was during the appointment hearings of Sessions as AG. People seemed to be very impressed with her method of questioning Sessions while others at the time considered her too aggressive. Those that considered her to be too aggressive were criticized as being misogynist. I understand that during the Sessions hearings she was representing herself as being "tough" and there's nothing wrong with that. However, the way she interrupted Sessions constantly is not something I found to be "tough". I found it to be boorish and badgering and I absolutely positively would have have the same reaction if a man would have had the same approach and I absolutely positively would have had the same reaction to anyone of any race if they would have had the same approach. She rubbed me the wrong way from the Sessions hearings onward for that reason and it had nothing to do with her being a woman or being of mixed race.
I didn't realize she'd gotten off to a good start. Haven't seen any real coverage of her... The media seems focused on the socialist agenda and a candidate who want to abolish the electoral college.

She probably came to realize she's fighting a losing battle against the insane power of the Trump cult.
