All the talk about how much Democrats love 'minorities' and wanted a woman President. Well they had a chance to ger behind a woman, a woman of color, who is a veteran and supports policies like free healthcare. But instead they have it between two old white men.

Biden is a senile laughing stock and Sanders is a lunatic who appeals to those who don't work rather than workers. All the tripe about Russia and Sanders is a guy who had his honeymoon in the Soviet Union and praised their policies. He just talks about 'free' stuff that isn't free and is too thick and corrupt to deal with the overpriced industries and why college and healthcare is expensive. They both also supported giving 'free' healthcare to illegal immigrants. Gabbard would have wiped floor with Trump.

But oh well, enjoy 4 more years.

When somebody becomes a front runner often the idea of said person being nominated or be elected frightens and wakes up people.

In 2016 for the Dems and progressives the idea that Trump would be elected President was just beyond their comprehension so this phenomenon did not happen.

Up until recently Bernie did not frighten "mainstream" democrats and their mainstream media mouthpieces, they thought he is a kind of entertaining codger. But after Bernie's Nevada blowout it was OMG we are going to nominate a SOCIALIST, OMG he is going to take my Cadillac health insurance away, OMG he praised the Soviet Union while honeymooning there, and said a few nice things about Castro and the Contras to boot, OMG the "Bernie Bros" are misogynist extremists, a left wing version of the "MAGAS", all information readily available to anybody who did not want to ignore it.

Now that Biden is the front-runner people will realize "Joe being Joe" looks a lot like senility. The question is will enough people realize it in time (or is too late already)? The "Never Trump" conservatives were too little, too late in 2016. The Democrats who spent the last 4 years criticizing Republicans for jumping on the Trump train are coalescing around Biden faster than the Republicans did around Trump.

Like pretty much everyone else, I think Trump has a very good chance at winning a 2nd term.

My general feeling is that Sanders stands a better chance of beating him than Biden does, though I am not in the U.S so not 'on the ground' so to speak, and there is only so much of a feel you can really pick up on the telly and internet

I'd vote Sanders over Trump but I'd vote Trump over Biden.

The Democratic base want Sanders to be the nominee but i think his policies will get shown up when he's against Trump.
