That’s what tucker carlson gets paid $6,000,000.00/year to do.

His job is to spout fear mongering inflammatory crap to right wing white idiots so they keep tuning in and faux news keeps making ad revenue money. His role has evolved to also promote white supremacy and whatever propaganda the trump administration prescribes. Maybe the orange guy has instructed him to crank up the fear machine to radicalize his viewers in preparation for violence come November? Or maybe he’s just doing it all on his own because he’s a sadistic jerk.

Aside: If this is the garbage they air on faux news, how extreme is the propaganda on OAN? I’ve never sought out and watched anything from oan. I have listened to quite a few faux news segments to see what kind of twisted lies they’re feeding people and what their not-so-bright audience eats up & believes.

And if violence does break out, that smarmy white nationalist won't take any responsibility for it. In fact, he'll put the blame squarely on Antifa and BLM.

Mhmm. It’s very clear to anyone that isn’t enchanted by his vitriol that that’s his job.

It was also the job of Commandant Huss to run Auschwitz, but that defense didn't work at Nurnberg.

Just the same as we're being de-facto blamed for refusing to countenance this madness under the guise of free speech. This is the same nonsense that says $500 million worth of alt-right Clearchannel billboards is freedom of speech too. There are scopes of influence that transcend free expression straight into brainwashing, normalizing disinformation to the point of creating fascist states when everyone inevitably becomes too grouchy to be civil anymore.

Too true.

I started watching Fox News and was dissappointed because I thought it would be like regular news but its just a talk show with opinions about current events. So this is where Conservatives get their news source. :?

I check out both Fox News and CNN on a regular basis.  Somewhere between rabid racist fear-mongering and smarmy social-justice preaching must be something close to the truth.

That's precisely what I do. Perhaps I've misjudged you.

Violence has already been raging across America over the past few weeks, caused by BLM, antifa and various opportunistic criminals and looters. The establishment throwing police unions under the bus, along with calls from "progressives" to defund police departments, have only made things worse, as the rioters realize there is more and more they can get away with. People have been killed. Thousands have had their businesses and property destroyed.

People who care nothing about all this while they get all worked up for a Two Minutes Hate against someone like Tucker Carlson are just divorced from reality.

Neither BLM or Antifa are monolithic organizations, but are made up of like minded small groups and individuals, some capable of violence, others not.
You made no mention of the Boogaloos, who are right wing extremists and racists, who are very often starting riots like they did in Charlottesville, and even impersonated Antifa while vandalizing property.
Those police unions have been covering for bad cops who had instigated this whole situation by brutalizing and murdering blacks who are either innocent, or had committed trivial offenses.
Does your sympathy for unions extend for those beyond the police?

I bet you'd never even heard the word "boogaloo" until a few weeks ago, let alone back when Charlottesville happened. Unlike BLM and Antifa, the "Boogaloos" really are virtually non-existent as a group, being largely a creation of the media and Federal agents looking for right wing extremists to entrap. If you think the "boogaloos" are responsible for as much as 1% of the violence that has erupted over the past few weeks, then that is frankly crazy. There seems to be no limit to the amount of nonsense about right-wing boogiemen that the media can get people like you to believe with zero evidence. You're probably one of these people who still think that Russia "hacked the election" too.

No the media instigated the situation by pushing a narrative that's contradicted by the facts.

Quote:
https://legalinsurrection.com/2020/07/a ... e-cite-it/

An academic paper from 2019 defies the current progressive narrative about police targeting minorities. The paper has been cited by right leaning scholars, such as Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute.

Now the authors of the paper are seeking to retract it.

We’re now politicizing inconvenient facts and data.

Retraction Watch reports:

Authors of study on race and police killings ask for its retraction, citing “continued misuse” in the media

The authors of a controversial paper on race and police shootings say they are retracting the article, which became a flashpoint in the debate over killings by police, and now amid protests following the murder of George Floyd.

The 2019 article in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), titled “Officer characteristics and racial disparities in fatal officer-involved shootings,” found “no evidence of anti-Black or anti-Hispanic disparities across shootings, and White officers are not more likely to shoot minority civilians than non-White officers.” It has been cited 14 times, according to Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science, earning it a “hot paper” designation.

Yes, as you'd realize if you read what I wrote. I explained that the public had been put at greater risk of violence by the police having their hands tied. I see there's recently been a spike in shootings in New York for instance. But all people like you care about is your narrative.

There would still be violence whoever the winning result of the election is.
