My two brothers Ed and Matt both went to Evergreen College back in the late eighties about the time Kathleen Hanna was there too,and coined the song "Smells like teen spirit" with Kurt Cobain.

I don't think there will be any civil war in today's age,because the central federal government has to much military power at it's disposal.This isn't 1861 and single shot breech loading rifles.

If such civil war's were possible in large countries like US,take China,many of China's minorities likely would rebel against the Han majority but they would be crushed by military might.

Putin wanted Crimea and he took it and there's a cold civil war sort of with Ukraine but administratively Putin has Crimea.Putin also stopped South Ossetia from seceding from Georgia back in the early 2000's.

You have civil war's in smaller nations where military might in a match between federal government and rebels,but in large countries,impossible.

As far as socialism coming to America,it's possible if the right people get elected but it will come by election not revolution.

Only one scenario is possible for civil war in a super to large nation to occur: army split. It could happen in Turkey not very long ago.

The whole capitalism thing falls the moment a sufficient amount of people doesn't believe they have a fair chance anymore. But the majority still thinks this is the best system among flawed systems. So the pressure that builds up can't really go into any real systemic renewal, so all that pressure goes, full force, into cosmetic changes -
