"Lowest Brow Art" (Porn) is Core As Far as Lust Related Activities Go; "It Is A Driving Force Behind the Creation of Art".

Petroglyph 101; One of my Special Interests too, by the way; as a Degree Holder in Anthropology, Spending
One Summer in University as a Research Associate in Archaeology, with two other Part Time Jobs to achieve
All Three College Degrees then butt true, Darn, We did not find any Amazing Pornographic Petroglyph Scenes From Thousands of Years ago; Charcoal And Bone and other Subsistence Fragments Were the Only 'Name of the Game then'.
"The Kangjiashimenji Petroglyphs are bas-relief carvings in a massive red-basalt outcropping in the remote Xinjiang region of northwest China. The artwork includes some of the earliest—and some of the most graphic—depictions of copulation in the world."

"These are just some of the mysteries surrounding the Kangjiashimenji Petroglyphs. Hopefully, now that the political pressures have abated, the site will receive deeper study. But whatever the answers, if any are ever found, the tableau is at the very least a spectacular demonstration of sex as one of the driving forces behind the creation of art."

Pornographic Art is Among the Oldest Muse for Driving Human Creativity in Art; and Lust in General Drives Males
to Greater Creativity and Productivity; and in General, Females Become More Nurturing And Socially Cooperative
With Each Other When They Get Lusty for the 'Opposite Sex' too; It's Nature; It's Real; It's Not Going Away
Thousands of Years ago; and it's not going away now; even if someone Sketches Stick Figures Doing 'It'
in Sand, if we were to Remove all the Video Representations of Porn that actually is assessed
for the Driving Force of the Creation of 'Online', in the First place; in other Words, Thanks
God For Porn; Otherwise, We might NOT be having this discussion on Banning Porn;
Human Beings Are Driven By Lust at Core For Creativity, Productivity, and
Social Cooperation; so yeah; Repress that Human Nature and Get in
Big trouble as a Society too; However, of course with any Dopamine
Producing Stimulus, either Behavioral or Substance; Folks who are lacking
in other Warmth of the Oxytocin Social-Bonding Neurohormone, often as a
Result of Social Abuse Or Neglect in Life, are more often susceptible to the Disease
of Addiction; Trying to Replace the Emptiness within with Whatever Behavior or Substance
That increases the Pleasure Neurochemical Dopamine for Receptors in the Brain as the Empty
Most often comes from a Lack of the Warm And Cozy Neurohormone Oxytocin; all Filled up and
even overflowing in Easy Peacey Life; Warm And Fuzzy Comfort Indeed; this Love Neurohormone Helps Create.

Anyway, Like Any Other Behavioral or Substance Stimulus that Creates 'Copious' Amounts of Dopamine; Whether
That Be Porn, Gambling, Or Even Frigging 'Meth'; Those susceptible to the Disease of Addiction May Just have to
Stay away; Not to become Addicted through the Disease of Addiction; anyway, everything about online, even
the Screen Colors are A Huge Dopamine Hit; true, Porn is a really big one; but addiction will find a Dopamine
Source and Lord Knows that Disease has more avenues than ever to Flourish; Hampering Focus on
Activities Required for Subsistence And Survival; Yes, Video Games are Just about as Addictive
As Porn too; and of course with the Prevalence of Porn everything in Life becomes More
About the Driving Sex Force of Dopamine to Sell Just About Everything We Buy in
life too; one or the other; Lips Stick; or a 'Certain Sultry Pose' Will Do the Trick and
Treat
at least
a little
bit;
On Top of that
The Supreme Court of
the United States, so far,
Provides the Freedom to Express
Human Lusty Arts Through Porn;
As part of our First Amendment Rights;
Perhaps they Studied Older And Newer Petroglyphs
Then To Help Arrive At Their Educated Decision too.

Teenage Pregnancy Rates are going down;
Taboo is one of the Greatest Aphrodisiacs;
Provide all the Gift and Even Steak and Ice Cream
Will Get Old Every Day and Night; yeah, imagine having
to Eat Steak And Ice Cream; every meal; You'd do almost
anything else to escape that Horrid Same Hell in Life; meh;
People move on to other stuff; of course, unless they suffer from the
Disease of Addiction; Humans Are Evolved for Instant Gratification; those
Who are Responsible in Discipline Within; Will understand they must practice Moderation;
if they can't;
Abstinence;
Yes, like an
Alchoholic
or a Gambling
Addict Same, may
Be the Similar Necessity too.

Anyway; Fascinating Subject from the
Discovery Channel Below to Study; Explains
a lot of the Realities of Life that so-called
Religions/Others attempt to Call Evil that are Just a
Part of the Saving Grace of Lust for Human Creativity,
Productivity, And Social Cooperation As Well; Porn is staying;

Best thing to do is stay away; if one can and will, if it is hampering
Functional Abilities in Life, necessary to make Subsistence and Survival happen in Balance.

i've Been Studying the Science and Art of Lust and Porn practically Since Puberty; usually that's the Human Case.

For me, since the 70's When i Dream of Jeannie First Got to Show Her Belly Button; Big Problem for Dudes though
Who Never learn to Love Women through HeART and enough incentive to Actually Create Art to meet the Reward of one's
life; Love at Best, Cooperative and Productive Indeed in all stuff life Creative, including Arts and Sciences for real too..:)

Is it safe to assume that you have never heard of Prohibition?  That's when a Constitutional amendment was passed to ban the production, transport, and sale of alcoholic beverages.  Would you care to guess how that turned out?

No, I call that an example of moralistic hypocrisy.

Ok. Child porn is illegal and people still view it. Does that mean we should legalize it? Of course not.

Prohibition created more powerful organized crime groups because it gave them a monopoly on the market, and made them do shiftier things to keep other people quiet or secure their product. Banning porn will make everyone who wants porn to go to shifty and possibly criminal sources, giving them power, and making the criminal organizations do shittier things to have people able to perform. Such as how prostitutes might be given drugs so that they become addicted to them and stay loyal to their pimps.

Keep legal porn, respect sex worker, and have an open dialogue with adults and teenagers become aware of sexuality about healthy use of porn, masturbation and more things. Stop shaming people for enjoying sexuality while they might not have a partner, or want to have more exotic experiences.

Why would you suggest legalizing child porn?  Anyway, we're talking about making all porn illegal, not just the sick stuff.

Child porn hurts people, children. Watching two guys who consented to go up into each other is not hurting them.

Child sex is not consensual and therefore illegal. It is also extremely harmful and abusive. Yes, there is a black market and it causes great harm.

But adult sex is consensual. It is also pretty pervasive.

My point is that even though people will still seek it out, doesn't mean porn should be legal.

You have not made a case for why it should be illegal. Sex is natural and legal for adults. Why not images of sex?

I wonder how many PCs, laptops, data pads, CD/DVD libraries, and thumb-sized thumb drives the OP would be able to seize and destroy for their pornographic contents if porn was made illegal? How many search warrants would he need? How many brown-shirted, jack-booted, goose-stepping bullies would he have to hire to carry out his orders?

(And how many of those bullies would pocket a few porn-laden thumb drives for their own personal use?)

And our point is that you have not presented a single, logical reason why you believe porn should be banned.

If it's legal, workers can unionize and determine their own working conditions.
Addicts can find help.

Criminalising it only takes away workers' ability to organize and addicts ability to get help easily.
Look at abortion: the numbers are steady, but the mortality goes through the roof in places whete it's illegal.
Portugal had a bad drug problem and chose legalization - and things vadtly improved since.
The war on drugs however has been going on for decades and destroyed central America.

Legalisation of things increases consumption, but it's the way to address the damage.
Banning things decreases consumption and ignores the resulting damage. It's just a myopic strategy.

As long as people are having sex in front of video-recording devices, there will be pornography.

Legal or not, there will be pornography.

Wrong.  Some of the English colonies were founded and developed by Puritans, but most of them had died out by 1720.

America was actually built on the precepts of slavery, subjugation of women, and conquest by genocide.

I thought the Puritanism was responsible for the rise of the American "bible belt"? But yes the other stuff as well :lol:
