Here is a question for you all

Atheists.... what if God did exist
believers in God (the various God/s) What if God/s didn't exist?

What then?....

If god exists I hope they would not be so petty that they would place greater value on subscribing to the right religion over living an otherwise pretty positive and good life.

I feel he would let me in to heaven, no problem, since I try to follow his rules even without fear of going to the hot place . But I won't know till it's to late, will I .

A true agnostic - I really don't know weather God exists or not. In both cases, my calculations lead to the same conclusion: "do your best to be a decent human being and accept you'll never be perfect".

Even if I found out he did exist, I still would not worship him. Why? Because I simply don't like him or his followers. I don't care if I get sent to hell for it either.

I'd ask god what he thought of religions. I mean, it's basically warring fandoms. Must be weird for him/her.

I'd argue for my usual split position - ie. that mind at large likely exists but that it doesn't in any fairness resemble a theistic God (maybe the God of Plotinus at best if we're lucky). It's more of a conscious 'where' for us than a 'who'. To that end said 'God' can't meet the needs of religion, and religion's needed as a social institution to keep people in sync with best-practices for a given tribe or nation. There's enough woo going around for everyone to believe that their religion can do miracles, and it's in their best interest to believe that everyone else's can't because...well... religion is the business of tribe.
