No, but it just seems like that's how it will play out, that the BLM will not negotiate. We can see if that's how it will play out, if the government will try to negotiate some sort of terms with them.
How many of your innocent loved ones being murdered by police (who then face no consequences) would you consider a reasonable amount? Give me a number you might consider reasonable if you were negotiating. Now tell me, how exactly is resolving that issue negotiable?
It's hard to feel the police serve and protect you when they typically treat you as a threat for no reason besides your appearance. Equal protection isn't something that should need to be negotiated in a supposedly egalitarian society, needing to negotiate that exposes a social ill that needs to be addressed because it harms the ability to respect the institutions involved in law enforcement.

Oh okay, but if the BLM does not want to come to a negotation for their demands, then what is their plan then? How will the government meet their demands without negotiation?
How much outside input does a government need to start police reform? Doesn't the state have a responsibility to show they take the concerns seriously and are speaking and acting in good faith when they say they will improve?
Do you think things would get better or worse if everyone went home, nothing improved and people realized they got suckered and need to get back out in the street? If protests seem angry now a situation like that would only lead to a much angrier second wave.

But how will the government be able to satisfy the protestors without meeting with them to go over terms or have any type of discussion? Should the government just make decisions based on mere assumptions as to what would satisfy them, without even having a meeting about it?
