45 % of all Republican voters believe that it was OK to attempt a coup against Congress.

To put it in better perspective, that's roughly 28,000,000 people who voted for Trump.

Coincidentally, that's about the same number of people who live in Texas, the second largest state by population.

Which reminds me ... Texas threatened to secede from the Union if Biden got elected ... quando ... quando ... quando ...

I can't say I'm surprised. The thing that almost amuses me is that the Republican voters who partook in the poll wanted them referred to as "protestors" and "looters", without a doubt a passive aggressive jab at mainstream media, who also referred to the vandals as "demonstrators". People really need to learn how journalism works before they jump out and say that there's a bias in media. However, I will have to say there's an issue I have with some polls, due to the wording. It's one thing to ask if staging a coup d'etat is okay, it's something else entirely to ask if it was okay to attempt a coup on the basis that the winner of an election is not who they want in office. I realize I'm more than likely splitting hairs, but context is important to me because it means the difference between "helping my uncle, Jack, off a horse" and "helping my uncle jack off a horse".

That's a lot of people who had better not actually try anything, or the lot of them may as well be labeled as domestic terrorists, for all that entails.

Here's hoping the survey was flawed and that those who supported it were more likely to respond.

Any Republican that tries to spout that crap around me is liable to get verbally pounded into the dirt.
