A poor white person can go anywhere in America and be welcome by the locals.
Not really.
If you look poor you are not welcome in sheik Beverly Hills shops.
Proposals for group homes, shelters, even senior citizen housing often result in protests.

The US is a big country. Outside of black majority areas around urban centres there are large tracts of land across America which are still "no-go" areas for black people and where they are still not welcome.
A poor white person can go anywhere in America and be welcome by the locals.
That's systemic racism.
I call Utter BS on that statement.
Have you ever been here? There aren't any "NO GO" zones for black people in America.
I've physically driven past enough dirt driveways with rebel flags, nooses hanging from trees, and poorly drawn signs with a red circle and slash thru the word "N***ERS" to know that yeah, there are no-go zones in america.
I've worked with enough bigots who openly say things like "F**K him, he's a n***er, who cares", to know there's some places POC just shouldn't go.
I've lived in and near enough red-neckian towns where POC do not go after dark, to know that there's places where POC are not welcome.
I get dog-whistled all the time, to see if I too share their racist views. It's disappointing, really.
A few successful POC here and there no more disproves systemic racism that the existence of the mudskipper proves that fish do not need water to live. It's a convenient excuse that hinges entirely on the premise that if ANY SINGLE POC is successful, then the system CAN'T be rigged, cos it would have stopped ALL of them - which is like saying that since you won a single hand of blackjack, the casino CAN'T be rigged!
Which, yeah, if it happened 100% of the time, then that would be suspicious and obvious - but if you let the occasional sucker "win" a little bit, then you can blame it on all manner of things other than a rigged system.
The suppositions are so heavily weighted that many people see 45 white guys and one black guy and go "yes, this looks equal to me".
Racism doesn't have to be screaming "I hate non-whites" or making laws that explicitly say "No darkies, jus cos". Racism can be as simple as any number of assumptions one can make about another person.
"Oh yeah, well, CRT assumes that all white people are racist!" NO, it really doesn't. It OBSERVES that western CULTURE, which has a very long history of touting it's supposed superiority as an excuse to conquer "lesser" people, might still have a number of "I'm better than you" assumptions built into it, and people follow these social rules without even realizing the bias behind them, because american culture has been preloaded with racist assumptions to make sure "everyone knows" the same skewed common wisdom.
Society teaches us the right tidbits to retort with - pointing out that "there are some successful black people!" while ignoring the smaller number of them, or how much harder they have to work to achieve the same results - that not ALL POC are lazy criminals, they just happen to be more likely to be that way, and you don't hate THEM, you just hate that behavior - to mention the number of POC imprisoned, and cite black-on-black crime, but never bother to look any deeper than that, else you might notice that white-on-white crime occurs at the same rates, and have to acknowledge that there may be a scam afoot - to call yourself "colorblind" so you can pretend someone's race CAN'T be the reason, and surely they must have done something to deserve the treatment they received, or perhaps it was an honest mistake, a bad apple, a freak accident - to make sure that people know that "some of your best friends" are black, as though that's a praiseworthy achievement, rather than simply being a human being - to assume that it must be an all or nothing arrangement, where if racism was real, literally ALL white people would be well-dressed, well-fed, living in golden castles, rich fat and happy, while literally ALL POC were slowly murdered to death while working as slaves, as their taskmasters shouted how much they hate them all while whipping them to bits for lulz - and ignoring the uncomfortable reality that we still live in a world where enough money can still buy you a human being to do with as you wish, that human trafficking is still a profitable business, and that racism is only one of many forms of bigotry prevalent in western culture, and working against society at large. Western culture used to be proud of it's ability to capitalize on, and take advantage of "lesser" people - the poor, the feeble, the weak, the powerless - as autistics we should know some of these situations, and how we are taken advantage of in them - and s**t rolls downhill, so even as those who are screwed over by their supposed "superiors", they in turn screw the people below them, because that's the "common wisdom" - and in the end, claiming the system isn't rigged against POC, cos white people get screwed too, as if the system can't be rigged against more than one group at once.
Comforting lies that maintain the status quo, in an age where secrets are so hard to keep, it's easier to bury them in BS and sweep it all aside, than it is to pretend they don't exist.
The world is a big place, and just cos YOU've never "seen racism" doesn't mean it isn't a daily occurrence for others.
Yeah I know what you mean. There's even an attempt to try and diffuse or sound conciliatory now. "I don't see race" so lets not talk about it. The problem for PoC is that many white folk "do see race" and for PoC they "do" have to put up with it.
Yeah I have been putting up with snide comments for being an ally to BLM from the usual people here on WP for some years now but I guess this par of course.
IMHO it would be better if you just cut your losses and made those people persona non grata.
I know at least one of them has been warned to stay clear
How does CRT help with this problem?
It teaches history and makes grad students at college think critically about cause and effect in American society. The critical thought aspect of CRT in grad school is a form of scientific thinking that a college/university student is supposed to have when they graduate which is what is valuable for companies who employ professional graduates not students who obey orders and regurgitate information.

I'm not talking about homeless people AS. Beverley hills shops represent 0.1% of the land area in the US, I think you know what I mean.

Arab owned, are they?
Or did you mean chic, which is French?
Native English words are hard enough to spell, give the poor man a break. We knew what he meant.

Given this whole discussion is about race and ethnicity, I thought it was a wonderful Freudian slip.

I think that you have inadvertently proven my point.
Western Civilization grew out of Europe which is where the dreaded white man is from. The United States grew out of the British colonies, with lots of (white) European settlers. Is it a surprise that for its first 200 years the US was largely white?
Look at Japan. Is anyone shocked and horrified that Japan is largely Japanese?
Is anyone surprised by the fact that Kenya is run by black people?
No.
Blacks in America are roughly 14% of the population, so expecting the government and the culture to be Afro-Centric is unrealistic.
if what you are calling "NO-GO" zones are places with confederate flags then I guess you would call many inner city environments filled with BLM, and Black Panther paraphernalia NO-GO zones for white people?
CRT and your "NO-GO" zone theory are nothing but gas lighting. Created to pit one group of Americans against another.

^^^re: no-go zones for white folk, i have experienced that personally on two separate occasions/blocks of time- in the army, i was the only lower-enlisted face [my enlisted section supervisor was a southern white] in an all-POC duty section, and they never let me forget it, the section supervisor was no help. i am forever thankful for the black officers who made those racist enlisted folk [including the worthless section supervisor] toe the line. and 4 years later when i drove through montana through [inadvertently] native american land, i got the most murderous stink eye from all the native americans i drove past, and when i had to stop at intersection, i could feel the burn of their hatred of me because i was a white man on their land. it stung hard. i got the hell out of there as quick as i could.
It's not demonstrable. During Jim Crow, you could point at laws that demonstrated racism against blacks. Today, it seems to me that blacks have an advantage with affirmative action. I recommend doing some searching on how blacks are greatly preferred when it comes to college admissions. It will shock you, possibly anger you.
I would be willing to concede that the only racism left against people of color today is class. Comparing the demographics of the millionaire and billionaire class with the poor shows an obvious difference with whites being at the top. I don't know exactly why this is the case, but the difference certainly exists.

If you are a politician in many suburban areas and propose to open a shelter for battered women or drug users or a group home for autistics you are going to lose votes, often there will be protests and vandalism at the proposed site. They will not say it is about bigotry, they will say it is about property values or crime rates, or their kids being harassed. This stuff has been a constant item in local newspapers my entire life. These stories usually do not get into national media that are read overseas.
