Typically bombastic Alex Jones makes for complicated court.

During the trial, Jones often spoke out of turn, and was cut off when he veered into conspiracies, ranging from the Sept. 11 terror attacks allegedly being staged to a false claim of alleged efforts by the United Nations toward world depopulation.  He continued to call into question some of the biggest events and significant government institutions in American life.

"This", the judge told him, "is not your show."

Is that a joke?  It is really funny if so!
Looks more like another feeble attempt to derail this thread.

I thought it was more an attempt to derail Alex Jones, but I don't know much about him so I'll watch from afar :wink:

Mr. Jones needs no help in derailment, since he is doing just fine by himself.  Read on . . .

Alex Jones Rants at 'Damn Lawyers' After Sandy Hook Trial

Far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones complained about his lawyers on his InfoWars show following an order from a judge to pay one of the Sandy Hook families $4.1 million in damages.

During his show, on Thursday, Jones attempted to defend himself while criticizing his lawyers.

"It is just so incredibly sick that I sit there and give the damn lawyers all the text messages and then they send it over to Connecticut, the Texas lawyers, before the new ones I have, never even gave them the stuff I gave them."

"That is what they claim, then I am sitting there, in the final witness, in a trial where I have been found guilty by the judge, for not giving stuff over and my lawyers give them the raw text messages of six months from 2019, early 2020, that is the reality."

:roll: Cry me a river, Jonesy . . .

I only know who Trump is out of those people but I hope you're right!

In Britain, Rishi Sunak, a candidate for Prime Minister has just admitted funnelling money from deprived areas to rich ones. I hope he gets his comeuppance, along with the rest of the Tory party.

I think people in Britain (and probably America) can't see how politicians and the government affect their lives because their votes never change anything, so they have given up and just ignore politics :shrug:

UPDATE 2022-08-05: Alex Jones and his company are worth up to $270 million.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his company Free Speech Systems are worth up to $270 million, an economist testified Friday to a jury trying to determine if Jones should have to pay punitive damages to the family of a 6-year-old killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings.

Bernard Pettingill, who was hired by the plaintiffs to study Jones’ net worth, said records show that Jones withdrew $62 million for himself in 2021, when default judgments were issued in lawsuits against him.

Alex Jones, the Pillow Guy, etc., are conspiracy theorists who merely talk out of their butts.

It's plainly obvious to anything with any common sense.

Jones has hurt a lot of people and is going to pay the price.

Many people believe in conspiracy theories. It's beyond concerning.

i Love to Study Human Culture; Alex Jones is Surely
One of the Outliers who has Impacted Civil Culture in
A Very Negative Way; i Appreciate the Detail Fnord Has
Taken to Describe Jones' Downward Spiral as An Example For

Others Who Continue to Use Lies to Make Money off of Naive People

In Media;

Indeed, Our Country,
The United States, in many
Ways Has Become an 'Alex Jones
Meme Country' of Conspiracy Theories;

And Mr. Jones, Surely Helped What Could
Be an Eventual Downfall of Democracy; Not Unlike

Trump and Yes His Cohorts, Like Mr. Jones and Fox News;

Indeed, Newsworthy; Political Worthy;
Philosophical Worthy;

And Indeed Religious
Worthy too as People
Have Made Conspiracy Theories
Into A Way of Life of Lies to Bond and
Bind Over In Common Sub-CuLTuRaL Ways,
Sadly Enough, and Often with so Much Naivety;

What May Be Most Disturbing is the Fear, Anger,
And Hate Conspiracy Theories Bring; Often transforming
Once Kind People into Literally Miserable Insufferable Human Souls...

Other than that it is of Relevant Note As Mentioned Above, Some of Us
Do Go LONG on Rather Narrow And Special Interests that Other Folks Don't Care

About at all;

Like Back in the 'Older
Renaissance Days' of Painting
Sistine Chapel Ceilings; Painting Swirling, Spiraling Colors Sublime
of the Natural Environment; And Sculpting Naked Religious Figures;

Thank God For Folks Who Are Not Afraid to Be who they TRULY ARE,

No Matter What
'The Nay Sayers'
Actually Say And Do..:)

How can anybody not pay telling all those people who lost their young children in the mass shooting----haven't lost their children at all?

What the hell is this buffoon, Alex Jones, thinking?

I wish he would lose any of his best friends or relatives in a mass shooting----and have somebody tell him that it's fake!! !! !

Some people think that the Holocaust didn't happen.

Yeah....therein lies the absurdity!

Evidence for the Holocaust is beyond dispute. There are photos and films, which illustrate what exactly happened---too graphic to express here. Multifaceted evidence all over the place. Which can't be doctored.

Just like there is evidence for this mass murder. Indisputable.

I think it's hard to recognize how commonplace conspiracy theories are and the threat that they pose to society and progress.

Large numbers of people believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible's account of creation and, thus, think that evidence must have been faked and that scientists are wrong or were misled by Satan - basically a conspiracy theory. Those people's critical thinking ability has been so hampered they will easily distrust valid evidence and believe other nonsense.

This is just an example. There are many paths to irrational beliefs. Not everyone who holds bizarre beliefs is crazy which is pretty disturbing IMO.
