I really like Whoopi Goldberg & I support black folk in general, but Kyle Rittenhouse is an innocent man. I don't blame him for wanting to sue her on this issue. It is traumatic to be persistently accused of being something you are not:

Most people don't get to shoot 3 people to death and then just walk away with no legal consequences.

BLM protestors who are burning down buildings and looting should not be chasing cops who are armed with guns. That is called being stupid.

Kyle Rittenhouse wasn't a cop, even if he was role-playing as one. He shouldn't have been marching around with a gun around there he should have stayed away and let the cops do their job...if anything he also put them in danger by acting recklessly.

I think most people who are or were faced with a person who is chasing them, whilst the chased person is holding a gun - would be very scared and would be prone to acting in self-defense.

What kind of nut case chases someone with a gun? You know you are dealing with a crazy person there and that induces fear in any human. Fear causes bad things to happen, like shooting people in self-defense.

True, he was only role-playing a cop. But if a whole police community appreciates his actions - he might as well be one of the team.

I'll add to this that in no way am I promoting Kyle Rittenhouse as a cult of personality. The guy should not have took it up upon himself to become involved in any of this. But the situation is what it is.

The black folk shot are heroes in their respective communities, since they tried to take down a cop.

In a wider sense, my personal perspective is that BLM are a toxic movement. Yes, there is massive injustice & inequality for black folk on a societal level. Black people are horribly oppressed by White folk. But BLM goes about almost everything the wrong way, by escalating every issue, instead of mixing de-escalation with escalation techniques.

The people that run BLM do it for money & not for social justice.

BLM is basically predatory capitalism in action, feeding on black misery, in my humble opinion.

Does Rittenhouse think he can silence everyone who calls a murderer a murderer?

Killing someone in self-defense is technically not murder. At least within the American justice system.

If you can call someone who's terminated a pregnancy a murderer you can call Rittenhouse a murderer.

Good point, the women can start suing anyone who calls them a murderer for having an abortion.

I think this is perfectly reasonable.

It should be illegal to call a woman a murderer for having an abortion. I fully agree.

I shall add to that - calling a woman a whore or a slut on social media should be an offense, too.

I think that's going a bit too far in limiting speech, especially given that murder has broader meanings and usages than just in a criminal justice context.

Whether it's Rittenhouse, or OJ Simpson or cops and soldiers "just following orders" or pretty much anyone else who's taken a human life, I don't feel the state is entitled to punish people for defining a killing as murder even if that killing doesn't meet the state's definition. Further, I don't think punishing people is a viable response because that will just encourage more of it.

It is a complex issue I guess. In some cases it is appropriate to punish, and in others it is not, depending on the severity of loss incurred by affected parties.

Rittenhouse was simply defending himself.
This was the official verdict of the court.
Deal with it. ;)
