We are still going to see anti-Trump posts. What's wrong with all you Americans? First you ensure that you bully anyone supporting Trump off this site which was "Supposed" to be Trump neutral in moderation but has a very heavy anti-Trump bias not content with that.... How long has it been?

This stuck record is like someone who says "During the war...." except this time it will probably be "During covid....!"

Can't anyone over there communicate a paragraph or three in a sentence without mentioning you are for or against Trump? What is it about Americans and politics and why is it Biden is the "Unheard and unseen" president? We hardly ever here or see him over here yet our news was every time Trump sneezed it was aired on our news.... And why was ANY American politics on our news anyway? (I have to ask our stupid "British news representitives" (Who are anything but British these days) newsreaders that don't I?)

But seriously. Start to move on from this stuck record you are on about Trump. It is like a car that wants to keep its old engine oil in memory of its last oilchange.

I can almost hear some of you muttering about Donald Trump in your sleep every time you snore! Some of you are still in Trump shellshock!! :D

Lets move on!

Mountain Goat, I'm not sure if you're a conservative or not but if you are then this message is for you and other conservatives out there!

Conservatives, you tell people who complain about various things about how we all should accept that life is not fair!

Well, accept that life is not fair! You're not owed a platform or anything at all. No one owes you all anything!

If you are not then you can't assume I accused you of being something you're not!

Is Trump Conservative or is he Labour? I do not know but the point to my thread is that the way you have just answered is exactly what I mean when I started this thread. None of you can let go! You are all like broken records!

My personal take on UK politics which is different from USA politics is that out of Labour and Conservatives I am so against what Labour did to us in the past when they decieved us that I lean on the Conservative side out of the two, but the truth is there is not really a party out there at the moment that holds my views, which is why a few days ago I had nobody to vote for, so I didn't vote and this is probably going to be the same pattern for me for a while until someone challenges the status quo in the direction I want our country to take.

I have reached the point where I see so many Trump related threads way past the Trump sell by date that I am getting a little fed up here about it. It is like trning on the TV and having every other channel discussing past USA politics without anyone being here in the "Now" about what is going on today.

I know I am being a bit unfair but I want people to break out of this Trump shellshock and move on.

Ah I see! You are from Great Britain. Is this correct? When I mean conservative I mean the American style conservative so my response doesn't apply to you if you're from Great Britain.

And, I wasn't talking about Trump. I was talking about conservatives in general.

And, as I said if they want me and others to accept that life isn't fair and we're owed nothing then they must accept that these two maxims apply to them as well. They're not owed a platform by private organizations to speak. And, they do have freedom of speech but we don't have to listen. That's all!

Dude...first of all you know full well that Trump is the one who claims that he is still our president, and that the election was stolen from him. He is the one who insists that he is important. We "Americans" on Wrongplanet are not the ones doing that. It is 100 percent Trump who is doing that. Claiming that he is still in the present tense in importance. Not us.

Second- Though Trump is no longer our POTUS Trump is RIGHT about being in the present tense in importance. You know full well that there is no such thing "moving on" for the obvious reason that even if Trump suddenly got honest and admitted that he lost the last election he would still be the defacto head of one of our two major parties, and he could still legally run for president, and that he could still (in theory) win and become our president again.

Third its our GOP that wont "move on".

Let me ask YOU something.

Why do you complain to US here on WP about something you know full that we have no control over?

If obsession with Trump bothers you so much the why dont you write a letter to senator Ted Cruz and tell him to stop worshipping Trump? Or write a fan letter to Trump himself, butter him up with flattery first of course, and then tell HIM to at least drop the Big lie?

Seriously

Why do you demand something of us Americans on WP that you know full well we have no control over and cant deliver?

I would really like an answer to that question.

First, Trump has all the signs of being narcissistic. The only thing Trump cares about is himself, and nobody else.

Frankly, I no longer give a flying f!ck about ANY politician. They are all corrupt beyond all recognition, and are way beyond any kind of redemption. I’ve had this attitude since “Tricky Dickey” Nixon, and every one who has followed since has definitely lived down to that reputation.

The answer to the question posed by the OP is that he still is that important to the political scene. He has control over one of the two major political parties. His appointments control one of the three branches of government. He is considered the front runner for the Republican party nomination in 2024 and may well either win the Presidency back or illegally take it back. Even if he does not get the nomination, the person who will likely get the nod will be heavily influenced by him.

Ignoring him is an exercise in denial.

Yes, indeed . . . let us move on . . . by not starting any more threads about Trump when there already exist so many others!

I agree! Let's move on to talking about ideas instead of people.

Here is what I wish to talk about:

1. Personal Responsibility - This is the idea that we cause our own actions through the choices we make therefore we should be accountable to the choices we make. It is the idea we choose and we can choose. But, this idea presupposes we all understand what choices we have and we're in a position to make the positive choices that others define as positive.

Example: College students and student loans. A number of people seem to believe that college students chose to take out the loan and should be responsible and accountable to paying it back. Maybe they should! But, here's my question. What if they were strongly encouraged to go to college by older generations and take out loans by those same older generations. And, what if they had no alternative advice or anyway to obtain this alternate advice and were in a way locked in an information prison set forth by their parents, educators, etc. If the information given to these students over the years about what college is, what it does, what one was capable of doing or not was misleading then how can we expect total accountibility from those who took out these loans under misleading cirumstances?

So, did they choose to take these loans out in good faith? Should they pay it back? Normally yes, but I believe there are extenuating circumstances here.

Example: Those with Autism and Asperger's and other mental disabilities

Let's face facts. We are disabled. More of us who have mental disorders are considered not in the label force than actually employed. Should we be forced to be employed if we can't do it and proven many times we cannot and have an extremely difficult time? Should we be responsible for our own lives when it is clear enough that we cannot. Should we be responsible for the consequences for the choices we make especially when our mental disabilities play a heavy role and in how we process and interpret information?

This is for the Bible believing Conservative Christians.

Take a look at this: https://www.jesusfilm.org/blog-and-stor ... -poor.html

The Bible clearly says that those who are able and have should help those who can't and do not have. Are we not owed and entitled to help including helping us to be employed and/or possibly being provided a living.

The Bible gives commands and not rights yet those like the founding fathers transform these commands into "rights." So, if the command is to help the poor then aren't the poor entitled to aid and help not to be poor. Aren't the disabled entitled to being helped to be employed at something that could provide themselves a living and something they could do?

Let's assume no because peter would be robbed to give to paul and employers would be forced to give to jobs to those they don't want. Let's presume this is correct.

Now, the thing is though you all will have to pay somehow: whether it is supporting them in prison when they believe the only way they can survive is to be in prison being given three hots and a cot, you have to pay for their bodies to be disposed of when they commit suicide and others seeing the bodies as well, and having to pay for their committal in an institution anyway.

So, wouldn't it make sense to voluntary do things for people so they can be productive and they wish to be productive? If it is not through welfare or socialism you all will have to pay someway, somehow in some form.

Truth is the poor and disabled will always be with us. It is the conservative Christians moral duty to help those who can't help themselves.

Let's talk about this.

Let's hope, 100 years after Trump, that the whole world isn't under a fascist, authoritarian regime.....because this is exactly what Trump wanted.

Before Trump, we had anti Obama posts and anti Bush posts and I have sure seen anti Clinton posts and I did not see one person say we were bullying people who supported these presidents. Why is Trump any different?

If someone feels bullied when someone says something negative about Trump, that is their problem, not the person posting it.

↑ Bullies often feel most threatened when their intended victims fight back.  Trump is no exception.

Trump is far from being a Conservative. He is a complete radical -- every bit as radical as the BLM people. He has likely never had a Conservative idea in his life.

Radicals want to tear things down with the crazy idea that they can somehow rebuild it the way they want. Conservatives want to preserve the great institutions of life -- business, religion, and government. Any changes that need to be made should be made slowly and deliberately so as to maximize the chances of improving those institutions.

Trump is a destroyer. He thrives on chaos. There is nothing Conservative about Trump and never has been.

I have voted for very few Democrats in my life. I can think of only two and one of them switch parties later. I will not vote for any pro-Trump politician in the future. If a Republican is not a Trump supporter, had nothing to do with Trump's coup attempt, and feel free to denounce it, I'll vote for the Republican. If not, it will be Libertarian or other third party or independent candidate.

I've seen far more bullying by the Trump cultists.
