. . . Do they strengthen the laws against sexual assault to offset this?
"They" are pro-birth, not pro-life.

• Are they anti-death penalty?

• Are they anti-war?

• Do they provide free post-natal health care for poor mothers and their babies?

• Do they provide funding for free school-lunch programs for poor students?

• Do they provide housing vouchers for the homeless?

That's extreme wishful thinking.
Ok, of course men never consider getting an abortion. And some women, as long as their situation is roughly okay - that includes myself. And old people. Here, you've got majority in any state.

The problem is only with women who feel desperate. But they are never the majority. You tell me they don't exist in Red states?

In some states women will die if their pregnancy goes wrong and they need an abortion, I hope it happens to couples who support the supreme court on this. :D

And all because 6 years ago, people couldn't stomach the idea of a female president.

I don't advocate for any violence over this. We can't get violent every time we don't agree with something.

It's an unfortunate decision, indeed. It probably will mean many "red states" will ban at least most abortions.

It will mean that women stuck in a desperate situation (perhaps not of their own making) will resort to dangerous means to have an abortion---dangerous in the sense that the abortion procedure will cause great harm or death because of unsterilized instruments, and other causes.

This decision denies women dominion over their own bodies.

Absolutely.

This denies girls and women the fundamental human right of bodily ownership that boys and men have.
This begins at birth whether the girl / woman ever falls pregnant or not.

Which of their body parts do men not own?

It's a backwards ruling made by backwards people.

Nonsense.

I was trying to think of a polite way to answer this too, Sweetleaf.
You're more tactful than I am.

I live in a red state and know several women that exercised their right to choose.

It's not just about women, either.
I believe men / fathers are hurt by this ruling too.
It's f****ed up in so many ways.

I think doctors should perform abortions the way they've always done, in plain view of every church, courthouse, police station, sheriff's office, state capitol, state supreme court, and governor's mansion in all the states where it will become illegal---as an act of defiance.

Honestly, considering how much the Supreme Court leans right at this time, it's not really a surprise. Never-the-less, it's a huge disappointment. I'm not sure I, personally, would ever decide to have an abortion. But, each woman should be able to decide that for herself. In the near future, I expect to see millions of women marching on Washington to voice their displeasure about this decision.

Same.
It's not about whether you would have one, or not.
It's about whether all human beings are equal under the law, with bodily autonomy and free will.

I would never have one.
I can say that because I fell pregnant from assault.
I had to make that choice, and I chose no.
I was extremely grateful it was MY CHOICE to say no, and not the government's.

Pro-Choice includes the right to say no on your own terms.
