The Frostbacks are all pasty white, wear plaid and those funny hats with the ear muffs. They all drink Moosehead and have good weed. They pop out of the womb knowing how to play hockey and live in trailer parks. All they eat is poutine and maple syrup. They are either loggers or spend the day clubbing baby seals.

Bunch of ingrates!

We invaded their country TWICE. Once during the Revolution, and again during the war of 1812!

And they were not, and are still not, absolutely delighted that we tried to conquer...er...I mean...tried to LIBERATE them! :D

Poutine is not a Canadian stereotype... it is a Québecois stereotype.

When I worked in town elderly Canadian tourists used to stop at the cafe .They rode the Beaver bus line. That was really its name.
They were very polite and nice folks.
Lousy tippers.Maybe they don’t tip in Canada ,or they were just tight.

I've heard of Canadian being used as a euphemism for other demographics that are stereotyped as not tipping well in the US, which causes me to believe Canadians generally don't tip like Americans do.

Probably because we assume wait staff earn at least minimum wage like they do in the civilized world. Image

You just gotta love a country that will put Queen Elizabeth II on their dollar coin and call it a "Loonie".

Canadian cuisine is only known for three things. That Quebec poutine, maple syrup and bacon.

Without Quebec Canada wouldn't have any foods worth bragging about.

True on the wages.I noticed some Europeans tipped well, others not so.
They were all pleasant, no one was ever rude.Americans could be at times.Tips varied with them, from extravagant to zilch.

So like, there were these two Canucks sipping coffee at Timmy's.  One of them was the father of the other one's son.  How could this be so, eh?

They were husband and wife, eh!

Maple syrup likewise is overwhelmingly associated with Quebec.

When you see something like say Monty Python's Lumberjack Sketch, set in BC, you do not imagine him having poutine!

There are absurd French Canadian stereotypes in old movies.

Take that Sherlock Holmes film from 1943 about "Le Mort Rouge"...

And another example I can think of off-hand is ... The Giant Claw from 1957: "Those people believe that if you see a certain bird it means you're gonna die, real soon!"...

French Canadians are depicted as backward and superstitious! Since no one in the US knows anything in any detail about them, they can make up all sorts of nonsense!

As for English Canadian stereotypes...

I think of this person I once knew who was involved in these films based upon this sort of "hoser" stereotype out West... involving heavy metal music and drinking too much beer, etc...
