Ok, I've had enough Christian banter for a month.
It's time to get back to some serious Bush whacking.

"I. Lewis Libby Jr., Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, first learned about the C.I.A. officer at the heart of the leak investigation in a conversation with Mr. Cheney weeks before her identity became public in 2003"

NY Times Story

Will Cheney be indicted?
If so, will he resign the vice presidency?

What happens to a recovering alcoholic when he can not afford to be rigorously honest and take responsability for his actions?
How is his sober status effected by having all those around him tell him to lie and avoid taking any personal responsability?
Does he get drunk?
If so, what are George W.'s chances of staying sober or regaining sobriety?

Ok could you maybe clear up some confusion here?

The New York Times wrote:
It would not be illegal for either Mr. Cheney or Mr. Libby, both of whom are presumably cleared to know the government's deepest secrets, to discuss a C.I.A. officer or her link to a critic of the administration. But any effort by Mr. Libby to steer investigators away from his conversation with Mr. Cheney could be considered by Patrick J. Fitzgerald, the special counsel in the case, to be an illegal effort to impede the inquiry.

I only skimmed the article but where exactly does it say that Cheney himself would be in trouble? It seems that only Mr. Libby is possibly in hot water for impeding investigation

If it turns out that Cheney did do something sketchy I would bet that he will not stand trial for it, the Republicans have such a stranglehold on the government right now, so it is very unlikely.

I never liked Cheney. He and his assistant, Libby, could resign, likely avoid prosecution, and get taken care of by the Haliburton corporation since they were responsible for givng them lavish contracts with almost no bidding. There were alot of better people that Bush could have chose as a VP in his 2000 campaign.

A lot more would have to come out before Cheney would get indicted. Like he was the one that leaked the C.I.A. officer or knew who did it and shown that he knew it. If any of this is shown then maybe he would get indicted then maybe would have to resign only then.

So Sean You don't like My next door neighbor Cheney are You not a Republican or what.

erm...

is there any way for you to make that link shorter, as it's buggering up the page format?

actaully, it'd be helpful is someone could broadcast the method used to do that "here" thing, where one clicks on the "here", and it's a link.

any helpful people out there?

Thanks Vetivert and Lenny.
I will change it to the correct coding.
It's not even 7am here, and I've already learned something new today.
What that says about the rest of the day is yet to be determined.

Here I was thinking Sean was a loyal defender of all things Republican, and he goes and changes tactics on me. Nice to see that you can be critical of the Bush regieme Sean.

I think you are gettting exited too early. If Cheney takes the fall, Bush will be untouchable in this. That is, if Bush even had anything to do with it, of which there is only about a 50/50 chance of considering how that CIA agent would have been more detrimental to Cheney's buisness dealings than Bush's search for weapons.

This will not bring down President Bush. You are still going to have Him until 2009.

Yeah, for the President.
