Either that or Bill Gates is God. Should I sacrifice a goat to Bill Gates?

Bill Gates is a just a man. :duh:

And Jesus is just a fairy tale. :P

Yes, z0rp, I know you are not a believer.

According to the Bible many people doubted Jesus' relation to God until Jesus was crucified. Considering the general opinion of Microsoft and especially Vista it doesn't seem far fetched that the crucifixion of Bill Gates could be arranged. Would that convince you?

No it wouldn't. Gates would suffer a horrible death and then just die, like any other man. Like any other man, Gates' body would remain inaminate and then begin to decompose. Eventually, there would be nothing left of Gates except bones and teeth and those glasses he wears.

Bill Gates and Jesus Christ are not the same person.

Jesus rose from the dead because he was the Son of God, Saviour, Redeemer, Prince of Peace.

Bill Gates, no disrespect intended, is just a man.

You know what my beliefs are. Is this your way of toying with me?

By what evidence is Bill Gates not somebody sent to save mankind. You seem so sure. Many people in Jesus' time doubted him.

This is true, there's no solution, and is a subject of debate among mathematicians. When you really think about it, couldn't the quotient be just as likely infinity as it could be zero?

But isn't an infinite amount of nothing still nothing?

No, actually you get 1.

I mean, lets just say instead of 0, we replace it with X, which can be any number.

Well, we have X/X, well, as you probably know from your algebra classes, X divided by itself cancels. So, what you are left with is 1.

See, so removing God from the conversation creates more value!!

... and now everybody will wonder who taught me math.

There's not even evidence he was even there in his time.

Which implies that Bill Gates is more substantial than Jesus. Now all we have to do is kill Bill Gates and see if he rises from the dead. Sounds like a fun experiment.

That's not correct. You cannot divide by zero, that's a rule. I've literally just started taking calculus and when the professor covered functions he specifically mentioned that 0/0 =/= 1. If the numerator is the same as the denominator, it is always one except for when it's zero.

But the zero rule only applies when you're dividing something by zero. Does it apply if you're dividing nothing by zero?

Another problem arises. If God's commandment was to be followed "Thou shalt not kill", how could it come about he sent his only son to be killed by people commanded not to kill? If humanity could only be saved by violating one of his strong commandments? Isn't there a problem?

No wonder they say God is infinite :P

well going with the X/X, that could be considered a math fallacy I suppose, because that would lead to saying 0 = 1, and that would be incorrect.

Actually, removing God from the conversation creates an infinite value or an undefined value ;)

All it means, speaking linguistically is that zero equals one zero. It may also mean zero equals an infinity of zeros but what the hell, an infinity of zeros is no bigger than one zero.
