Its difficult to decide. Perhaps I wouldn't be so angry at America if Bush was not in power. Its Bush and his cronies that I hate, not the ordinary people. However I don't understand why the American people have let him back into power and let him get away with absolute murder. Maybe people can enlighten me into the answer to this question.

To your credit, in 2000, the people of America voted for Al Gore, not Bush. However, by deceit he managed to twist things to his favour (he had friends in important positions) so he got into power and not Al Gore.

Well, you can blame the vast majority of conservative voters who, for the most part, were completely uneducated about ANY of the politics and just voted on the Reps' hypocritical platforms of No Abortion and No Gay Marriage.

Why OF COURSE we should outlaw abortion by voting in the politicians who are going to make sure that those babies are born but not taken care of after that. Vote the politicians in who are making it technically legal for drug companies to falsify research so they can get unreliable and even dangerous drugs out on the market. Why sure! Vote in the bastards who only give a crap about immediate profit and paying off their business backers for getting them elected and don't care what happens to this country after the four year period. Vote in the s.o.b.s who will actually start a WAR just to GET elected in the first place.

Robert, we all hate this country. And the vast majority of conservative voters who vote on a single issue and elect those who will control politics through religion can go play with themselves. Ruin some other country. Or send them to Iraq! Selfish [profane word] the lot of them.

*Semi-apologies to any conservative forum members. But people are DYING. Lives are being ruined. And civility, under these circumstances, requires too much restraint.

Robert,
I believe Bush was re-elected because people had the misconception that Kerry would be soft on Terrorism. It didn't help that a few weeks before the election another Bin Laden video made it's way to national news.

Bush's approval rating is at an all time low. He cannot put his domestic programs into effect. This to me is good news. Many of his policies are horrible! But I really don't think you should be angry at America as a whole. There are lots of people who didn't vote for Bush and we're having to deal with this too. So try to remember that when you feel anger towards America.

Bush was never elected or re-elected. He stole both elections.

The only reason Bush is in office is because he's his daddy's son.

Just three more years... three more years...

It's been more than adequately proven, over and over again. That's just the propaganda machine for you.

Where is the evidence of this (especially the 2004 election)? Remembering, of course, that presidents are not elected by popular vote in the U.S.

You did it!
You have your attention!
You said this;

Quote:
I think the same is true of you. American capitalism is so evil and so selfish, that you aren't worth saving, quite frankly, and I welcome the next terrorist attack on your soil.

You encourage death to innocent people. People just like you, ekeing their way through life just trying to support themselves and their families.

Capitalism is a much more complicated topic than the narrow view that you give it.
Do you think that we all have it made. 1 in 8 Americans live below the poverty line 12.5%. What once made us prosper is going to ultimately be our unraveling.

you may hate America. But your statement about wanting basic human people to die for nothing is one of the most ignorant things i have ever heard. You want America to suffer, then keep your mouth shut, and keep yourself healthy. That greed that you abhor, is squeezing out the middle class. which class pays the most taxes. what keeps the machine running? Our greatness is on the decline, the middle class is eroding.

make no mistake, if you can live long enough you will see us suffer.

A terrorist attack makes us better. The spirit of the American people is this countries greatest strength. Right now our political structure is in shambles, repeatedly being caught with their pants down, behing a glory hole. No trust in the Bushassholeman. Not faith in the employer. little real opportunity. Go ahead and bomb us and you put your plan back 10 years. Rally 'round the flag is what we'll do. Patriotism would return. Take a divided country and attack it, is the best and quickest way to unite it. Just ask George jr.

Hehe, yes, Robert. You should have wished a terrorist attack on all the Right-Wing Politicians instead. ;) Now THAT would have made sense.

I certainly do not want anyone to suffer. I just wish you would abandon that hateful ideology that causes people to be poor and suffer.

RobertN,
If we work hard, stay focused and show a little team work, then we can make this thread acieve the 100 reply club.
you would achieve a rare feat, despite all your efforts to the contrary, i believe in this thread. It has the makings to be one of the greats.

What do you say, old chap, are you with me. Lets make history.

I can read the headlines now,
"An unlikely dou team up and make a seemingly innocent generalized statement and make sense of it"

Hopefully, at the end of the day, through our combined efforts, we may come to an understanding, thus spawning the basis of a great friendship, based on rival points of view.

Or we may agree to disagree.

But alas, i am right, with left thinking.

For your information, he's been banned. Rather unfortunate, IMO; but I daren't speak my mind on the subject for fear of going the same way.

Actually, I'd watch your step, too.
