How Trump Steered Supporters Into Unwitting Donations

Online donors were guided into weekly recurring contributions. Demands for refunds spiked. Complaints to banks and credit card companies soared. But the money helped keep Donald Trump’s struggling campaign afloat.

Quote:
But what the Blatts believed was duplicity was actually an intentional scheme to boost revenues by the Trump campaign and the for-profit company that processed its online donations, WinRed. Facing a cash crunch and getting badly outspent by the Democrats, the campaign had begun last September to set up recurring donations by default for online donors, for every week until the election.

I put nothing past Trump, so I'm hardly surprised. And yet his cult following will call it fake news.

Just remember many of the students who were swindled out of their money following the collapse of Trump University are still vocal supporters of Trump. If college educated people openly buy into MAGA ideology then what hope is there for the uneducated MAGA masses who buy into the QAnon conspiracies Trump still peddles to this day to cover up his criminal activities.

His supporters are so smitten by him they neglect the hypocrisy

He told Georgia voters to boycott Coca Cola due to Georgia voting rights

Yet his office desk looks like diet coke is still his favourite beverage

His MAGA supporters will believe anything he tells them

Sorry guys, it doesn't end with Trump: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/07/us/p ... ector.html

Quote:

The political arm of House Republicans is deploying a prechecked box to enroll donors into repeating monthly donations — and using ominous language to warn them of the consequences if they opt out: “If you UNCHECK this box, we will have to tell Trump you’re a DEFECTOR.”

The language appears to be an effort by the National Republican Congressional Committee to increase its volume of recurring donations, which are highly lucrative, while invoking former President Donald J. Trump’s popularity with the conservative base. Those donors who do not proactively uncheck the box will have their credit cards billed or bank accounts deducted for donations every month.

And I bet those unwilling donners will continue to support the GOP.

Not unlike the "unwilling" GOP reps who claimed they were coerced to protest the vote. Nothing stoping Ted Cruz either from being decent yet he's still singing the MAGA anthem.

Trump calls his fellow republicans "losers" and still claims he won the Nov election.
https://www.news.com.au/world/north-ame ... 6e6b35b114

Perhaps he should check the dictionary of what constitutes a loser in a race.

That would doubtlessly cause his fantasy world to collapse around him.

Who says they were college educated? :?

They were enrolled in trump's fake unaccredited college. That doesn't make them college educated.

I'm sure their wealthy parents bribed some other college. When their hero became POTUS I'm sure they wore their Trump alumni badge with pride
