Something really odd about the female officer's decision to resign,

She mistook her gun for a tazer?? how exactly does a 25 year veteran who (I understand) must have her gun on her dominant hand when holstered) make a rookie mistake??

I've read testimony from experienced ex-cops who claim Potter is lying to cover up her intention to shoot unarmed Duante Wright. Her resignation is to avoid a police internal investigation into her motives.

Why would she lie?

Have you watched the video?

Have a look at her photo I posted....the tazer is on her left hand side....she's right handed! not possible she could make that mistake after drawing her gun correctly for 25 years.....

She lied to make it sound like she was reaching for her tazer...even if she grabbed her gun by mistake a gun feels completely different to a tazer so it's fairly obvious she's lying.

Why she lied is to reduce her culpability to avoid jail....pretty obvious right.

an ET from an advanced race on a planet orbiting Vega, would surveille the happenings down here and conclude that a piecemeal culling of POC seems to be happening under cover of authority. it is only us humans living down here amidst this mess, who can't seem to grok this.

The woman's attitude is worse than the other female cop who walked into a strangers apartment and shot him claiming there's a black man in her apartment.

60 people arrested in connection to Brooklyn Center demonstrations; protesters nationwide call for justice

Quote:
Communities across the nation marched and mourned for the third consecutive night Tuesday in memory of Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man who was fatally shot by a police officer after a traffic stop over the weekend.

Police and protesters faced off again in Brooklyn Center after nightfall, with hundreds of protesters gathered in the city's heavily guarded police headquarters, now ringed by concrete barriers and a tall metal fence, and where police in riot gear and National Guard soldiers stood watch. “Murderapolis” was scrawled with black spray paint on a concrete barrier.

“Whose street? Our street!” the crowd chanted under a light snowfall.

About 90 minutes before the curfew deadline, state police announced over a loudspeaker that the gathering had been declared unlawful and ordered the crowds to disperse. That quickly set off confrontations, with protesters launching fireworks toward the station and throwing objects at police, who launched flashbangs and gas grenades, and then marched in a line to force back the crowd.

The state police said the dispersal order came before the 10 p.m. curfew because protesters were trying to take down the fencing and throwing rocks at police. The number of protesters dropped rapidly over the next hour, until only a few remained. Police also ordered all media members to leave the scene and threatened them with arrest.

At least one person was injured when police fired crowd control munitions, video showed.

Several dozen people marched through downtown Chicago Tuesday evening, calling for justice for Daunte Wright and Adam Toledo, a 13-year-old boy fatally shot by a Chicago police officer at the end of March. According to videos of the demonstration shared on social media, protesters could be heard chanting: "Say his name, Daunte Wright!"

In Columbus, Ohio, protesters got into the police headquarters, which was locked with handcuffs, according to student newspaper The Lantern. Police deployed pepper spray as they tried to get inside.

Dozens of people marched in downtown Sacramento, California, facing off with police at a shopping complex there, according to local media FOX-40.

Around 50 people held a vigil for Wright in Seattle, Washington. Police arrested one for chalk drawing, a practice banned in the city.

In Dallas, Texas, protesters blocked roads. As protesters marched to the Portland Police Association in Oregon, they set off fireworks and police declared a riot, according to Twitter video. And in Philadelphia, more than 200 people marched.

the tools who deny that racism still exists and is still directed primarily at POC, are just gaslighting the rest of us, or in the vernacular of the street, are peeing on our leg and telling us it's only raining.

This is a tradegdy but Dante would still be alive today had he not resisted arrest.
So Kids the lesson to take away from this is: Don't Resist Arrest.

No, Daunte would be alive today if he wasn't shot.

Also, this:
The firearm had a safety, a Taser does not.
The firearm is holstered on her right, the Taser on her left.
A Glock 17 (as a sample weapon, not necessarily the one used) weighs 1.38 pounds; a Taser, 0.45 pounds.

So this 25-year veteran chose (automatic, trained instinct?) the weapon on her right, flipped the safety, didn't notice the difference in weight and grip size/feel, or that her weapon wasn't bright yellow - yet it was all accidental?
Nah.

It's hard to comprehend.

Apparently, she pulled out her *gun* and said TASER multiple times.

So, apparently, this was not a split-second decision.

When you resist arrest you take the chance that the police officer will make mistakes.

But the mistake would not have happened had Dante not decided to flee and simply followed the commands of the police officer.

The real sad thing is that the media has gone quiet about the warrant, probably because it was due to not paying a fine for possession of MJ in Hennepin County and/or not pay a fine for disorderly conduct in Scott county and Daunte would probably be out of jail already. Note that I found this information looking at the MN Court Access (MPA Remote) website.

When your mistake kills someone you deserve to be held accountable.

You are correct, the officer should be held accountable for her mistake and whatever consequence comes of that. However, the fact still is, had Daunte not tried to flee, the officer would not have made that mistake. His actions have consequences too. In most cases, the consequence is a felony conviction and probation or prison. This time, the consequence was loss of life.

And since his consequences have already occurred we can focus on holding the killer accountable instead of pretending the blame rests entirely on the victim.

Speaking of consequences for the officer, Minnesota is charging her with 2nd degree manslaughter, a charge that will have a better chance of sticking than murder.
