An Illinois professor is charged with aggravated assault and a *hate crime* for spitting on a black woman, making racist slurs in her face, and telling her, "I hate black people".

He then almost ran her over with his Jaguar, and is further charged with felony aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

The woman's mother and seven year old daughter witnessed the attack.

He deserves jail time.

If he were in Sweden, he would have ben jailed just for the slur, per their hate speech laws.

Yet some people want to believe that outright racism doesn't really exist anymore ...

I'm just sad. At all of it. The outright racism, the veiled racism, the volume of people who want to pretend it is only a problem because liberals make it one (not to say liberals can't exaggerate or ply reality for political reasons, but those factors are NOT creating a problem that otherwise wouldn't be there).

I am just amazed at how people throw away their lives.

His employer suspended him, likely termination is next.

He was a college professor in medicine driving a status symbol Jaguar, now likely few (none) employers will want him.

Before rushing to check why a person like this has a medical license.

A quick persual of his resume suggests he is not a proper medical specialist, He has a doctorate in kinesiology, exercise science and neurology and currently teaches neurokinesiology at the National University of Health Sciences.

Not only is neurokinesology a pseudoscience but the National University of Health Sciences is a private college that offers degrees in chiropractic, naturopathic, oriental medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy. Basically he's a quack.

These types of services are subject to enormous regulation in Australia as none are evidence based. The fact he's driving around in a brand new Jaguar suggests he is scamming lots of money from people foolish enough to seek his services and/or attend his courses.

Putting aside his dubious background, the college will be likely finding ways to get rid of him as the courses they are offering already have the air of attracting nutters, This is the type of bad press they don't need and don't want drawing attention to the types of people who practice these "arts".

He should be fired first, then placed in jail.

Because he is not a proper medical specialist, a background check should happen before anything else.

He probably stole the Jaguar off a client.

I suspect a quick check of his home will find things like crystals and tarot cards. The medical establishment have been trying to get these types of so-called healers regulated for years. Chiropractors for example manipulate the spines of babies which is actually extremely dangerous.

Wait, he has a doctorate in Neurology (and Kinesiology, and Exercise Science) and you're calling him a quack who plays with tarot cards?

He sounds like a first-class a***hole, but he's a well-educated a***hole.

My dad always taught me to be wary of chiropractors. Years ago, when my wife and I rented a house from her cousin in his backyard. a local chiropractor hopped up something or other tried to kick down the door of the cousin's house in the middle of the night. Needless to say, the quack got arrested.

You know, that's an area where I know that on paper it shouldn't work, there's no evidence for any of the theories of how it is supposed to work, but I feel better after I see a chiropractor, and one fixed my neck up after some nasty whiplash from a car wreck, so I reserve judgment.

If found guilty, I can understand firing him, definitely. I can even understand a fine or community service for the spitting. But jail time? Seriously? You people are beyond brainwashed.

It's sad when murderers only get a few years in prison. This is the opposite extreme. Doesn't warrant imprisonment, even if his views are appalling. The "aggravated assault" appears to be the spitting only. IF he had physically attacked/beaten her, jail time for sure. But as sad as this is, it doesn't seem like an imprisonable offense.

He tried to kill her with his car too.

So he's also charged with felony aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

"Felony: the sentence can range from probation up to five years or more in prison"

Why not just check what his own field says about their qualifications.
https://www.aka.asn.au/about-kinesiology

Kinesiology encompasses holistic health disciplines which use the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person’s well being. Originating in the 1970’s, it combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements which inhibit the body’s natural internal energies and accessing the life enhancing potential within the individual."

hmmm so what does therapy involve?

Professional Kinesiology practitioners undertake years of training to be able to access the movement of energy - or what the Chinese call ‘Chi’. Blocks or stresses prevent smooth energetic transmission, thus affecting functioning of our bio-systems, resulting in changes in energy. Muscle monitoring involves challenging the bio-feedback mechanism present in all muscles to reveal imbalances within the body.

So basically its for people who are scared of acupuncture so what these guys do is use hocus pocus to move your chi and make you healthy again.

Will you be willing to spend hundreds of dollars on this?
