^^^ It also manifests differently. An American woman of colour who experienced racism from a cop during the BLM protests became a travel vlogger and left American and moved to Russia. Her podcasts basically were how much more safe Moscow is than New York for a black woman. She ran down the states in her posts and encouraged more black women to leave. She somehow got citizenship as she was hired by the Russian state media to promote Russian tourism. She also spoke fluent Russian.

Not more than a week ago she posted a video about the terrible predicament she found herself in. She came home to find her neighbours has taken her Moscow apartment, changed the locks and claimed she was an illegal immigrant. All her passport and papers were in the apartment. when she tried to enter her apartment the couple assaulted her and her small child and called them racial slurs. She posted again from a hospital waiting room (all she had was her phone) her face bruised, apparently the police have refused to assist claiming she has no identity papers so believe the Russian couple who took over her apartment and stole her belongings.

So yes, things are much worse outside the west.

Racist idiocy knows no borders.

They're working on it.

Serfdom too.

Why do you say this though? In an advanced society where technology, medical knowledge, and freedom has come a long way, how could they possibly revert back? Or is all this just paranoid speculation creating delusions from obsessively hating Trump so much?

It's a goal of a certain far-right "thinkers" like Curtis Yarvin.

They see democracy as infringing on the rights of the richest and most powerful people, so reducing democracy is one of their goals. They want political rights to be as concentrated as wealth currently is. They support dismantling the aspects of the state that allow regular people to try to resist having power imposed upon them (like say consumer protection agencies and regulators), the end result is a state that works for the wealthy and their interests alone.

Quote:
In Yarvin's view, democratic governments are inefficient and wasteful and should be replaced with sovereign joint-stock corporations whose "shareholders" (large owners) elect an executive with total power, but who must serve at their pleasure. The executive, unencumbered by liberal-democratic procedures, could rule efficiently much like a CEO-monarch. Yarvin admires Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping for his pragmatic and market-oriented authoritarianism, and the city-state of Singapore as an example of a successful authoritarian regime. He sees the United States as soft on crime, dominated by economic and democratic delusions.

Yarvin supports authoritarianism on right-libertarian grounds, claiming that the division of political sovereignty expands the scope of the state, whereas strong governments with clear hierarchies remain minimal and narrowly focused. According to scholar Joshua Tait, "Moldbug imagines a radical libertarian utopia with maximum freedom in all things except politics." He has favored same-sex marriage, freedom of religion, and private use of drugs, and has written against race- or gender-based discriminatory laws, although, according to Tait, "he self-consciously proposed private welfare and prison reforms that resembled slavery".

Basically I say that based on the self-professed goals of the so-called neo-reactionary movement or Dark Enlightenment.

They're pretty open about their goals, so why the skepticism about them actually possessing those goals?

I just read the Dark Enlightenment Wiki entry, and it is terrifying. Call me paranoid, but I believe it's already being silently implemented by this current administration, particularly with opposition to racial equality, the handing over of government reigns to tech oligarchs, the rejection of the courts, and the open contempt and thwarting of higher education, among other things.

Are there any activist groups protesting against this, if you think it's really going to happen? I mean, doesn't the American flag supposed to mean freedom? Doesn't the statue of liberty mean freedom? Black slavery is not freedom. I'm in the UK and we have our own political issues over here so can't do much, but if I was an American citizen I would refuse to let this happen. I really thought laws now were different to what they were 200 years ago, with the way political beliefs have evolved so much.

I'm center-right, but I really hate any minority groups being treated differently or discriminated against. I suppose America will make being gay illegal again then. Ugh, I'll never go there for as long as I live. Such an advanced, rich, civilised, free country, yet they're bringing back black slavery, prohibiting homosexuality, what's f*****g next? I hate America. :x This emoticon doesn't emphasise how angry I am right now.
