"They have laws stopping Palestinians marrying Israeli Jews. Don't want to spoil the gene pool." Um, no they don't. Where did you hear that, Al-Jazeera?

The checkpoints sound awful.

Yes, and building Jewish only cities on stolen land. Sometimes the new houses are built by bulldozing the Palestinian homes down first. I doubt that happens very often as there is a separate number plate system for Jews and Palestinians. As well as the checkpoints. Some Palestinians drove on the roads in 2012 as a protest and they were arrested and their cars were seized.

I was aware of the old olive groves being destroyed but had no idea of a segregated highway.Thats just wrong on so many ways. What if you needed to get someone to the hospital and couldn't use the highway?

Oh dear, there's a lot of people on here who believe the propaganda. Israeli (including Israeli Arabs, you know the ones with more rights than in Arab countries) have had to segregate themselves from the Palestinians after countless terror attacks. It is way too easy to blame the 4 million Jews, rather than the 100 million barbarians that surround them.

Well I don't think those terror attacks came out of nowhere, obviously something motivated them. Also the Palestinian 'terror attacks' are much much much less severe than Israel's retaliation to them. I think more Palestinian civilians have died as a result of Israeli response to make-shift rockets being fired from terrorists in Palestine than civilians dying from the Palestinian attacks.

Israel always start the wars. Then there are 'rockets' fired.

In 2008/9. 1400 Palestinians were killed. Around 4/5's civilians. Hundreds of children. Think it was 11 Israelis and 6 of them were soldiers and 3 were by friendly fire. Israel blew up everything in site including schools and hospitals and created 600,000 tons of rubble.

Riiiiiight, Israel starts wars by being attacked? How does that work? Do we have a bit of a problem with Jewish people, perchance?

Drive on dirt road and go through army checkpoints while the chosen race go on Jewish only highways. If you're blabbing on about religion, you have zero idea what you are talking about and just have been made gullible by the disinformation specialists that are the mainstream media. The main anger is because East Jerusalem is occupied Palestinian territory under International Law and this just shows the US and Israel have no interest in peace and a future Palestinian state. At least Trump doesn't pretend to be such.

Many people are ignorant about the existence of Palestinian Christians. They are suffering as much as the Palestinian Muslims. The Israelis try to blame the plight of the Palestinian Christians on the Muslims, but the Christians there say it is the Israelis that present a problem.

The Christian community in Bethlehem -- the oldest Christian community in the world -- is really in trouble. Most have already fled the country. If they return for a visit with their relatives, they are likely to be questioned for 10 or more hours, strip searched, denied entry, forced to buy a return ticket right then, and put on an airplane to leave.

The Christians in Israel itself have it better, but there are many reports of the more hateful Orthodox Jews spitting on them because they consider the Christians to have no right to be there.

I just find it crazy that Christians in the US support Israel for the most part.

The only reason I can see to support them is in our mutual war on terrorism.

By the way, I overheard a really bizarre conversation a few years ago. I was at someone's house and was sitting there reading a magazine while two people were talking. One part of the conversation really grabbed my attention away from the magazine.

It was the claim that the people of the United States -- every single one of us -- are members of the Lost Tribe of Israel. It blows my mind that people really believe that. As for the two talking, both related, there is no Jewish ancestry at all.

Highly unlikely, IMO.

It's white Evangelicals that are specifically mentioned. So, as one of the articles about all of this pointed out, it may be based on a specific Evangelical belief that Jerusalem belongs to ____ people based on some family relation/inheritance guaranteed by God or some bible story.

The other part of this is "white." There's likely to be a racial component, too, of angry white racists supporting a lighter coloured people's disagreement with darker skinned people.

And of course, the "crusade," mentality of religion vs. religion as well.. some good ol' fashioned Muslim hatin'.

But I very highly doubt it has anything to do with a mutual dislike of terrorism.

number of nutters in the US who think they are the "true Israelites" but put aside loopy cults - christianity itself was also a loopy cult of judaism a couple of thousand years ago. Many millions have died over the centuries at the behest of cranky sky gods....

When my pastor took a trip to Israel a few years ago, he was shocked by the way American evangelicals he was traveling with had such a low opinion of Palestinian Christians, disparagingly referring to them just as Arabs. My pastor told one of them, "They're your brothers and sisters in Christ!"

See one cannot criticize Israel without being accused of that rubbish. I think both sides are terrible and to my knowledge Israel has killed more civilians. They should just share that stupid city, Palestine can have a half and Israel can have a half. I mean people on the Palestinian side should not shoot make-shift rockets at Israel in attempts of terrorism and Israel should quit bulldozing peoples homes.

I don't see why this country should support either side.

In what wars was it attacked first, apart from 1973? Do you have a problem with Palestinians?

Being anti-Zionist is the favourite cover for anti-semites all over. It's an excuse.
